Hazelbrook B&B

Very disappointed with how I was treated by Graham. Two hours before my arrival I received a call from him telling me that there was a couple on standby for my room and basically that he wanted me to cancel it as I was staying alone. I had informed him that I would be a late arrival which was fine with him until he got a better offer and seen money signs instead of being professional. On route to the B&B which is three hours away for me, I received a phone call from Graham telling me that he was cancelling me as I was not checked in before the required time. I had already discussed and agreed this with him but once again all he wanted was the extra money. I am extremely upset and disgusted at how stressed I was while on route to my stay here. Graham was disrespectful to me and I would most definitely NOT recommend anyone to stay here. I would not want any family or friends of mine to be treated the way I was. The room was cold and dirty. There was tea stains on the cup, the spoon was gritty from not havin been washed after use and I had a hand towel to dry myself with after my shower. The noise from traffic outside was also ridiculous. U will not get a peaceful night sleep here.

Nice house and parking space for 5 cars. CCTV in place. Rooms bit small but enough for a night or two when we are talking about the one I stayed in. Bathroom little bit dirty with a foldable bed inside, it's shared bathroom. Room was clean but the toilet wasn't clean 100% which is part of the room. There is TV as well. Host was really nice and helpful!

My room smelled of sewage. Most likely from dried out u-bends. The wardrobe had a large black damp stain on the wall and the shower room had small damp towels. The shower itself was noisy and leaked with a poor flow. My friends room was tiny. An attic space with a doorway he had to stoop through. He's 5'8". There was no breakfast served, but prices remained the same. It's a definite no for a return visit.

Really liked it. As soon as we parked, Graham greeted us outside very nicely and walked us to our room. Very cozy. Breakfast was good. The only thing was that the room was freezing, especially in the morning. Other than that, it was a perfect location to walk to the restaurants and to look around.
