Hotel Regio

We booked a packaged trip and it included a stay at the Hotel Regio for 2 nights.  We don’t know what we paid for the specific hotel so it’s hard to comment on value.  The check-in process was smooth and accommodating. We were there at 7 am so they were happy to check our bags and let us know how early we could get rooms.  We were traveling as 2 couples so we had 2 rooms.  We were on the 4th floor.  The air conditioning was not as cold as we like it but the rooms had it.  The beds were pretty hard for our preferences.  The breakfast was available and included.  It was a standard European breakfast.  The service was solid throughout our stay.   The location to the metro was very convenient.

The hotel staff were nice and the room was clean. It was a typical European size room (very small) and the bed felt uncomfortable as it was two twin size beds put together. The breakfast was good, but would have liked water as an option. Very close to the train station which makes sense for the high city tax fees.

Hotel Regio is well located diagonally from the train station which made our journey there very easy. The room was nicely appointed, and the bed perfectly adequate. I will point out here that no matter where we stayed, the pillows were hard and flat. Because they only give you a desk chair, you have to read in bed. With only one pillow, we found this difficult. I requested an additional pillow which never appeared.Also, there really was no shower curtain, they had  good tub and fixtures though. No stool in the bath which would have helped us be able to sit on it in the tub and shower off without getting water all over the floor. We made due but jeez! How much trouble would it be to install a curtain? Breakfast of fresh fruit and pastries, yogurt, cereals, juices and good coffee.

Great location.. close to metro and walking distance to termini and San lorenzo.
Breakfast is okay. No frills really.
Bed wasn't the best. Hard and not comfortable. We were also over charged for a bus tour by the receptionist Martina. Ended up giving our 24 hour ticket to another couple to use despite the receptionist knowing we were leaving the same day
Overall decent place. Clean enough and cheap.
