Garni Hotel

I was very happy with my stay at the hotel:
Nice staff, trying to help in everything.
Very good breakfast.
Very good location.
The rooms are modest but big and absolutely fine.
Internet worked well. I could even watch TV on my laptop.
I had some missunderstanding regarding the transfer to the airport and got a bit nervous. I apologise.

The rooms are spacious and reminiscent of the Soviet area, I would say. High ceilings and comfortable areas. The location is fantastic - not only you'll get great transport access but you'll also stay right in the city centre and within walking distance of most of the things you'll want to see or visit. Most of the staff is really helpful
On the downside I would say no laundry service during the weekend and please be mindful that they will charge you for breakfast at checkout without a warning.

Classy hotel with dark woods and quality materials throughout. Very quiet and laid-back place. The staff spoke English and were very helpful. Feels like a modern version of an old school high-end city hotel. Very clean and tidy rooms, the shower has incredible water pressure and the bed is very comfortable. Loved the historic city scenes in the stained glass windows in the stairwells, very nice touch!

Pros: Superb location, spacious and clean rooms with great shower and comfy bed, easy access to tons of restaurants, museum and attractions, great shopping venues. Cons: poor internet connection (and it doesn’t work at all with the latest iOS update, which Hotel knows and doesn’t suggest you a solution, like portable WiFi router of mobile provider), breakfast choice is poor but delicious, doesn’t have any labels, so don’t be surprised if you choose veggies and they turn out fish :) however staff doesn’t look after the food supplies (they usually run out and don’t get refilled, area near food is very messy and sticky), only espresso and americano can be chosen from coffee machine; staff overall is friendly and helpful, though usually makes you wait for nothing before handling your request for 5-10 minutes; no gym in the hotel, but there is a 50% discount for a visit to a friendly hotel’s gym within 15’ distance. Overall fair choice for the price given.
