I was allowed to check in early at no additional cost which was very convenient
Wifi was a little slow and didn’t work consistently, beds and pillows could have been a little more comfortable but rooms were quiet and nicely decorated

Lovely Stay in Lisbon
Wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to recommend Pousada Lisboa to friends and family; we have stayed in many an SLH hotel and this was at par with the standards we expected-excellent service, lovely rooms and a variety of culinary options to suit each taste. The hotel is centrally located with a view of the Tagus River, on the periphery of the central square, close to all the attractions one would want to see without being in an overly “touristy” area. Demure and sophisticated without being pretentious.

The Pousada is in a lovely location and rooms are nice.
Two problems kept me giving a top rating of:
- the bed is one of those old beds that bounces like crazy when anyone moves next to you
- the A/C went off in the middle of the night two nights in a row. It was turned back on after a phone call to reception, however we had had our sleep badly disturbed. The hotel took our complaint seriously and tried to make it up by putting us in their best suite,. Still, two nights of bad sleep....

An excellant hotel
This hotel provided a great experience.
Location - within a block of tram stop & metro station. Nearby restaurants & shopping.
Staff was very pleasant & attentive.
Breakfast was exceptional. Served in the atrium. My wife needs to be gluten and dairy free. Sonja in the breakfast area took special care to make sure everything was right.
Common areas of the hotel were styled with sculptures & art to make you feel as you were in a fine home.
Room was stylish and modern.

Fantastic
Beautiful hotel, situated at the corner of Praca de comercio, a short stroll to the shops, the river and the bus and tram stops. Our room was very comfortable, lots of choice for breakfast. It was my big birthday on the day we arrived and when we got back from sightseeing there was a lovely surprise, a bottle of bubbly and a cake, we had not told the hotel, they had just seen that it was my birthday from my passport details. The staff are all friendly and cannot do enough for you. I would definitely come here again on my next visit

Best service ever
Situated at the corner just opposite the commerce square facing the Targus river. This is a gem of a hotel. Smartly furnished in grey and brown tones. The rooms a little small but are nicely laid out.
Comfortable beds, pillow menu and evening turn down service. Very impressive
The breakfast has a good selection of local and continental favourites.

Whilst staying here, my children succumbed to a virus that necessitated calling a doctor in.
The manager, Ms Rita Paulo, Mr Bernardo of reception and Claudio Reis were heaven sent angels.
They not only arranged for the good doctor, managed to patch me into a 24 hr medical hotline and arranged for herbal tisanes for them. Claudio even went to pick up the medications from the pharmacy !!
Can’t thank the great staff enough for their concern and help during this mini emergency.
Through their concerted efforts , they recovered and we were able to continue our journey northwards.

Location is very good. Walking distance to Chiado where you get good restaurants, Alfalma and in the baixa area.

Excellent all around
This was an interesting property - historic building with traditional common areas, but quite contemporary rooms. I very much enjoyed my stay - superb location, well maintained facilities, the best buffet breakfast I think I have ever encountered - including Asia, friendly and efficient staff and top notch housekeeping. One quibble, one warning. My room had absolutely no light over or near the desk so it was essentially useless as the area was very dark. As to the warning, housekeeping was so good that I walked straight into the spotless glass bathroom wall - ouch!

Great Central Location
Staying for leisure I arrived early on Saturday morning and was very pleased that our room was ready. Location of the hotel is truly excellent - right on the Praça do Comércio. We had a 1st room floor which was small but perfectly serviceable for the 2 of us. Condition of the room was excellent. Aircon good. Bed comfy. Check in was super efficient. WIFI (which used to be by bugbear when travelling) free and fast. Hairdryer (my new bugbear) was asthmatic. Breakfast was good.

Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen, etwas schwierig war es zu finden, die Gebäude an dem Platz schauen alle gleich aus und das Hotel hat kaum Werbung nach außen, somit sind wir erst mal hin und her gefahren. Aber nach der Ankunft alles prima, Zimmer zwar etwas schlicht, aber grosses Bad, unser Zimmer ging zur Seite raus, deshalb nicht ganz so laut. Sehr schöner Lobbybereich, toll geschmackvoll eingerichtet, überall schöne Skulpturen. Restaurant sehr gut, oben im 4. Stock sind Zimmer zum Innenhof, wer lärmempfindlich ist sollte diese buchen. Frühstück war sehr gut und schöner Frühstücksraum. Auto kann man in der Nähe in einer Garage parken, kostet 35E pro Nacht.

La Pousada est idéalement située sur la place la plus emblématique au centre de Lisbonne, "Baixa", à 3 minutes de la station de métro,Terreiro do Paço (nom initial de la Praça do Comércio). L'hôtel, moderne, a été très intelligemment intégré dans un bâtiment historique, pour assurer un confort maximal aux clients. Son restaurant RIB est excellent tout en restant abordable. Le petit déjeuner est royal (et particulièrement convivial si vous avez la chance d'y être accompagné par Sonia ou Lenize). Mais, surtout, l'ensemble du personnel est aux petits soins pour ses clients : accueil, attention, convivialité et efficacité sont les maîtres mots pour assurer un service de haute qualité. Nous y avons passé des moments inoubliables, et, lors de notre prochain séjour à Lisbonne, nous savons déjà où nous logerons

Beautiful building in an outstanding location.  We were in walking distance of just about anything we wanted to see and do. The staff was very friendly and professional.  The reception/concierge staff, Rita, Maŕcio and Diogo were especially helpful.  The breakfast had plenty of choices, with many local specialties.  Ours was an upgraded room so it was roomy and had many of the amenities you would expect from a finer hotel.  The standard room seemed smallish.  There was a small pool and exercise area but my favorite was the rooftop relaxing area.  We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Had a great stay! Staff was friendly, nice rooms and facilities. Gym was a bit small but had all of the essentials. Great breakfast spread and a great restaurant for dinner!

I had a wonderful stay. The front desk people are all very helpful (from helping me pay for a taxi who didn’t accept credit cards and charging it to my room to printing out my bus ticket). My room was spacious and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The gym is small but functional. Note that the pool was not available during my stay in August 2021. Location is across from Praco Commercial and about 10-15 minutes walking to Barrio Alto or Alfama.

This has undoubtedly been the most perfect stay that we have ever had. The rooms are excellent and the staff have unbelievably attentive and kind. We have literally had the most perfect stay in Lisbon and it has certainly been down to this wonderful hotel and staff, especially the Reception manager who has gone above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We really couldn’t recommend this hotel anymore. We will definitely visit again.
