Hotel Valadier

We love Hotel Valadier. A small hiccup the first night, and they made up for it big time by upgrading us the next 3 days. A great location is close to shopping and food and centrally located between the Vatican and all of the downtown attractions. It's easy to go everywhere with the scooters. I will definitely stay again in the future!

I don’t think I have ever willingly chosen any other hotel in Rome soooo many times. Since years, Valadier is my choice nr.1 for many reasons: unlike other Italian hotels, it constantly improves and changes yet stays always “the same”, with that familiar feeling when it welcomes and treats you.
The location is perfectly central, overlooking Piazza del Popolo, in walking distance to any beautiful point in Rome.
It has an amazingly tasty restaurant on the roof top (Hires), with a breathtaking view, and also the Brillo restaurant at the ground level, with great selection of Italian wines. The food is simply impeccable and the whole staff too, remembering names and faces even after years.
The boss , Daniele, is a very demanding boss in terms of behavior, class, cleanliness and professionalism and that’s why this place is being run flawlessly.
Each small detail, even of decoration, is perfectly matching and the atmosphere is always so majestic; try the mysterious notes of live music in PianoBar or the newly opened Valentyne restaurant/bar on the first floor. (In all these places, 10% off on all food and beverage if you stay at Valadier). Or, just wait for the coming soon Sushi roof top.
Not wanting to get up before 10am for breakfast? It will come to you at any time just to make you happy.
Small terraces, ceiling mirrors or suites with fresh fruit will accompany you during your stay and you won’t regret a single minute spent here, for - in my opinion- extremely reasonable rates. All rooms are really soooo different, won’t be easy to experience twice the same view/furniture/ style. Depends on the rate/kind you chose, but you will always find yourself in a spotless and brightly shining ambience with soft mattress and large choice of pillows, with top branded toiletries.

The entry was nestled in a busy alley right next to a restaurant, and was easy to call a cab from. The rooms are very nicely furnished, with tiled floors, comfortable twin beds, a small desk to sit at, and very nice bathroom. The only complaint about the room is that there isn't much of a view but also in a bustling city like Rome it cannot be helped. Breakfast was superb, with the dining area being very modern and a luxurious setting.

Clean rooms but small, the staff was very nice and helpful.  The windows don't hold out much noise at night, and the air conditioning was lacking. The wifi wasn't great but was steady. You can get a discount at the attached restaurants out front. Also getting to the room is very interesting as it's like a maze.  I think they have stuff on display there so you can use them to find your room again.
