Perfect as usual
I stayed there for a short business trip, check in and out was very fast, room and bathroom were clean, breakfast was amazing, a lot of different options that you could choose. Personnel were kind and professional, wifi connection was really strong and fast, but its not free, you have to pay. Perfectly located hotel, and do not miss the oppurtunity to have some drinks at the roof bar.

Central hotel, good comfortable stay
Escaped to Athens with my family of 4 during the October half term, after our holiday in Spain got a bit chilly. Used Hilton as a base for exploring Plaka and beach days in Vouliagmeni. It's well positioned for the former - very short taxi ride.

Hotel facilities are good - 3-4 restaurants/bars, and a sky bar with 1st class view to Acropolis and great drinks. Earnest service. Pool/spa/fitness areas good.

Hilton 'executive lounge' OK, however frequently very busy and noisy. A lot of vacuuming around 10-11am - cant help I guess, but made taking calls very difficult. A great many people seemed to be using the lounge for regular meals, appearing in outside clothes.

Disappointing; nickel and dimed
Hilton hotels are usually a favorite but not this one. Everything about the stay seemed designed to squeeze as much money as possible from the guest, from the 8 euro bottle of water (compared with 0.50 euro in the tourist area) to the extravagant room service prices, payment required to use the fitness center, and miniature amenities (as compared with the larger size ones received at other Hiltons). Hilton members are even given less than what’s offered at other Hiltons - instead of a complimentary bottle of water each day, guests were limited to two per stay. Won’t stay here again and definitely don’t recommend.

This is a fairly modern Hilton, but reasonably well-located to get to the upmarket area of Kolonaki.
I have always found the Hilton to be accommodating, helpful and convenient for my needs. I have heard others say it is not, so it depends on what you want really. It is a 5 star brand hotel and prices reflect this. But I find that there are always reliable taxis there, staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

The Executive lounge is basic, but again the staff, especially George, are wonderful.

Rooms are on the small side but two people can manage in them OK. The Acropolis side views are worthwhile, day and night.

I found the ground floor coffee area to be convenient when some people arrived for a meeting, with quick service and some privacy. The breakfast area was well-catered and enjoyable as well.

Living on past glory days
Good room, still great location, great service. Hotel famous galaxy bar has been left to its own for a while it seems with outdated furniture and still overpriced drinks... too bad for what it previously was a town hotspot. Also mini-bar pricing is just ridiculous with an 8 Euro bottle of regular Greek mineral water on top of that the price for 35 Euros for breakfast is just comical for Athens...

Good place to stay for work trips
The good stuff: Fantastic staff, comfortable bed, large room, ironing board in room, good range at breakfast, pretty good soundproofing, close to a metro stop.

Less good: It's a modern block near a ringroad (fine for work, wouldn't appeal as a tourist). The extra charges take the piss a bit e.g. 8 Euros for a bottle of water from the minibar (it's 0.5 anywhere else) and daily costs for wifi.

Beautiful hotel and excellent staff
The hotel itself is well located, immaculately clean and modern with lovely facilities and varied restaurants. The staff were outstanding and could not have been more friendly or happy to help. I was here for a conference which was well managed by the hotel. The food and drink was delicious.

excellent stay
i stayed at this hotel on a business trip for 3 nights. The rooms are spacious, neat and clean. The hotel is located in a nice part of the city with most sights close by in a taxi. The team is efficient, polite and helpful. The breakfast is quite varied and good though it is not included in the room tariff. One has to take an extra voucher for euro 25. There is a nice sea food restaurant on the premises which I tried and the food was excellent. I enjoyed my stay

Very nice stuff! Good rooms! And the rest of pleasure killed by Hilton Policy.
All people working in Hilton Athens are very nice and do their best. The rooms are quite spacious, clean and comfortable. We were there with kids and got 2 connected rooms. I was there 6 days and could experience the place a bit more. Taking into account that it is 5 star and expensive hotel, some things could be already exchange for new (used sofas in lobby, the carpet in hall in the front of elevators, the washbasin in my bathroom was cracked) - details of course however Hilton charge the guests for details too. For example by Hilton Policy your credit card account is blocked from check in for extra amount of 100 euro per day (on top of your charge for room) and it is not unblocked immediately after settling the invoice, it last a few days until you get money back - Hilton safety policy. WiFi is paid - each restaurant in Athens offers you free wifi now ... The indoor pool is paid too ... Also quite unique. And the pool is definitely not family friendly. We were there in winter and promised kids to have some fun in the swimming pool therefore we took Hilton (not many hotels in Athens with indoor pool). But it was a big disappointment. The pool is part of SPA, in reality it is a rehabilitation pool, you must wear there shower caps (Hilton policy!) which unable you to swim really, the laugh of kids is taken very unpleasant by the people who come there from outside. I should be 'quiet zone for adults only".
Small things coming from Hilton Policy make the place a bit old fashion, not going in line with development of services and made me simply irritated.
Still people working there are very nice and it defends the whole story however next time I will stay in another place.

Solid choice - recommended
Very professional and welcoming staff: bellboys, receptionist and also maids didn't spare smiles whenever we met them.
Rooms extremely spacious and clean. Bathroom equally comfortable.
Wifi was good even if I didn't upgrade to the fastest option - the free one provided was more than enough for normal browsing and watching videos on youtube.
Breakfast huge although it was a bit the same day after day - I would suggest more variety. Anyway breakfast room staff was incredibly kind - no wonder actually.
Spa fine although I think guests of the hotel shouldn't pay for the use of the internal swimming pool.
Metro is a 3-min walk away, handy to get to old town or around Athens generally speaking.
Only thing I didn't like were the pillows which were either too soft or too firm.

Gets the job done
Four nights solo as a 39 year old bachelor in Athens in late November 2018, so here's my deal. I am Hilton Gold as a benefit of my credit card, so my experience may differ from yours.

Arrived in the evening to a very crowded lobby as a conference/meeting was ongoing on a couple of ground levels. As Hilton Gold I was sent up to the 11th floor for Executive Level check in. Lots of quick elevators were available to take me to the friendly lounge. From I believe 6-8 nightly they offer light snacks and some local beer, wine, and bottled water. The lounge is open day and night as a place for a nice view of the Acropolis and to get some space and have a coffee or unwind. Check-in was quick and friendly, was then to my room to drop my things and came back with my laptop for a drink and to plan my evening a bit.

Room was King Bed, 10th Floor, nice spacious bathroom, plenty of closet space, fully stocked mini bar, functioning safe. Big balcony with a view of Acropolis that I had selected specifically with a table and two chairs to take it all in. I'm not a smoker, but smokers will appreciate this.

Gym and Spa - I checked them out but got enough exercise walking to not make the time.

Breakfast - Continental in the Exec Lounge or a bigger spread downstairs. I don't really take breakfast and Greeks often don't either, so I can't comment.

Internet - Good enough.

Mini-Bar - Well stocked, but if you use anything you best ask them to restock it as they never did for me. It has the auto-billing feature, so keep that in mind if you want to put groceries in the fridge. Hilton usually will bring you a separate mini-fridge on request which I recommend here.

Room Service - Had a late night pizza one evening that was lovely. Friendly service.

Location - 15-20 minutes walk to many attractions. People will tell you Uber is gone in Athens, but it isn't, it's just now booking you to local yellow taxis who are very friendly and effective. Keep in mind that traffic might take them longer to get to your so factor this in when planning your evenings.

It is a bit funny and maybe even weird to write a review for a hotel that is about to close and will not return as a Hilton. I have been here twice, the first time 4 years ago and the second time recently last December. The latter was almost a last-minute decision to spend Christmas in Athens. I knew that time already that the hotel would change to a Conrad, but didn’t know that it would close for more than 2 years.

Both times I was upgraded, then as Diamond and now as Lifetime Diamond, to an Executive King with Acropolis view. Good rooms with balcony and splendid view.

The reason what made this Hilton stand out above many other hotels of the Hilton family was the excellent service and attention. There was a good mix of young and older staff, that always had hospitality on a very high level.

As this hotel will close very soon and will remain closed until 2024, before it will return as Conrad and Waldorf, I think most employees will lose their job. So, that makes me sad, I am concerned because there are no other hotels of the Hilton family in Athens to change to. So, thank you very much for my two wonderful stays and I wish all staff the best and good luck. And I do hope they find new jobs very soon, as they deserve it!

Our 2-night stay was absolutely perfect in every way. Our room was very nice, very clean, very comfortable, and had a beautiful view. The staff were all exceptional, going above and beyond to help us arrange Covid tests for our return flight and helping us after our airline lost our luggage. They took all reasonable Covid precautions, including masks, sanitizing stations throughout the hotel, clear signage, and more, making us feel exceptionally safe during our stay. The breakfast buffet was excellent - very good food with a large selection. The hotel is an easy walk to most of the major sites. If you prefer less walking, it’s 2 blocks from the nearest Metro station.

TIP: Request a room on a high floor with Acropolis views. It makes for a nice backdrop, and you’ll catch some nice sunsets over the ocean and mountains to the west.
