Altstadthotel Amadeus

An excellent hotel! Located in the city centre in waking distance to the historical sights. The rooms are nicely furbished and spacious with lovely details. The service is very helpful and friendly, even as we arrived too late due to a delayed train. Free coffee is available throughout the day. A recommendation!

Great hotel in an excellent location. Rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. Couple of small downsides. No A/C - this was fixed with a Dyson fan. No Fridge - we had to use the bar next door for ice to keep drinks cold. No bar/restaurant - hotel reception closes at 2pm after that it’s fend for yourself for everything. Value for money was good. Overall - great room and location. Additional amentities were lacking.

Very nice hotel. Located within walking distance of everything and easy to find. The main desk was not open when I arrived but I received a call earlier to let me know they would email me a code to get my room key. It was the easiest check-in I've ever had. The room was very comfortable and the wifi was fast. They went out of their way to let customers know about their new covid 19 cleaning procedures and the room reflected their efforts. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable. I hope to stay again soon.

The room was comfortable and well equipped. The bells from the church next door will wake you at 7am. We did not try the breakfast. The hotel has no bar and no restaurant and it's hard to see the justification for its 4* rating as a result. Reception closes at 8pm. Overall, comfortable but not great value for money.
