Great Location
The location of this hotel couldn’t be better. It is situated in the pretty ‘New’ Town just behind New Town Square, around a 5-10 minute stroll down Freta Street from the Barbican walls. It is less frenetic than the Old Town itself but with all the charm and plenty of good local restaurants only moments from the door. The walk into the Old Town is easy.
The hotel itself was in a lovely building, beautifully renovated (and decorated for Christmas). We had two rooms. Both were enormous with equally large bathrooms. Good amenities, warm, inviting. There was a lovely small pool downstairs in the spa but we were so busy in Warsaw we didn’t have time to use it.
The only thing I’d say is that there were one or two things in one of the rooms that needed a bit of attention (bath plug, no blinds on bathroom window) but these were relatively minor inconveniences. Otherwise it was great.
We didn’t eat at the hotel. Breakfast wasn’t included in our tariff and we ate out in the evenings. There are so many great places to eat both on Freta Street and inside the Old Town-we were spoiled for choice.
Check in and out we’re both quick and convenient (although 90 zloty for breakfast that we didn’t have had somehow been added to our bill but this was quickly sorted out). The staff were nice.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
