Beautiful and quaint Hotel in the heart of Moscow
This is such a wonderful hotel in the heart of Moscow. Small and unique, this little gem has beautiful, big, comfortable and spotless rooms , a lovely Art Deco style and an exceptionally good restaurant serving simple and organic Russian and European food. The breakfast was amazing too, really fresh and well cooked. The service also was excellent, very friendly and helpful staff who made you feel very welcome and made our whole experience just perfect

Incredible Hotel with Exceptional service in the heart of Moscow
Russo Balt is the perfect hotel for pleasure! Located in the center with easy access everywhere in the City, this is the place to be. It is quiet and centered. In a historic building. The breakfast was exceptional. The staff is English spoken especially the check-in, concierge and wait staff
We had a great room on the second floor. It was big and spotless clean. Every detail was taken care of.
When I return, I would not even consider staying anywhere else. We were here a week and could have lived at the hotel

Excellent property
A first class place to stay, old times touches in the room, minutely designed ,staff extremely attentive. Rooms are big enough, exceptionally clean, quality food for breakfast. A special kind of experience you should indulge in.

Great hotel
Hotel was great, breakfast was great. Fantastic sized rooms in central moscow. However, lack of concierge (didnt really have one) and knowledge for travelers. Oh, and average restaurant. Location was great!

Boutique at its best
This is a top notch boutique hotel in an excellent location in Moscow. I stayed in a junior suite on the second floor and was grateful for the extra space and the large couch to relax on, particularly as the common areas of the hotel were mainly related to the restaurant and were all tables. It made a bit difference to the feeling of the room and the days I spent there.

The hotel is decorated with tasteful decor and unique pieces in an art deco style. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The amenities in the room were all very good (although not Molton Brown as stated on the website). Of note, there was no desk in my room which was a shame. It does say on the website that the Junior Suite has a desk so check this if it's important to you. It didn't bother me too much because I just set myself up on the couch and coffee table instead.

The only negative of the room was that it was too hot to sleep with a light duvet on which is all that is provided on the bed (no top sheet). I had to cool the room with the air conditioners before going to bed and I'd still wake up too hot after a few hours. Opening the windows meant having the cigarette smoke from people smoking outside pouring through the windows and I'd rather be hot than choke on disgusting smoke.

The reception and restaurant staff were excellent, very professional and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was included and there was a big selection to choose from and everything I ordered over the four days was very very good. You don't have to order your breakfast the night before, this is just an option if you'd like your breakfast ready at a certain time, otherwise it does take quite a while to be prepared after ordering in the morning. One day I was heading off early and so I pre-ordered and it was all ready for me right at the time I ordered it for.

It's been years since I last stayed in a hotel with a turn down night service and they even leave a very tasty chocolate dessert type sweet for you, a very welcome and nice touch.

If I ever return to Moscow I won't hesitate to stay in this hotel again, it was truly excellent and a wonderful start to my Russian holiday

End your search, this is it!
What are you looking for?

Location; perfect, 5 minutes from Red Square & Metro
Rooms; large, extra clean, quiet, very comfortable bed, shower perfect with plenty of lush towels
Service; yes, and always with a smile
Breakfast; lots of choice from healthy oats with fruit & yoghurt to...well you know

More; this feels more like you're visiting the home of a wealthy uncle. The "villa" is tastefully decorated everywhere with ornaments and furniture that will make you stop and take a picture while the beautiful garden is great for breakfast or relaxation.

What a little gem!

Several notable sights and museums are within a 20-minute walk, including the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, while the Kremlin, Red Square and the State Tretyakov Gallery are a 30-40 minute stroll. The Arbatskaya metro is a five-minute walk from the hotel

Style & character
Hotel Russo-Balt Moscow in the heart of Moscow is the embodiment of charm of the Art Nouveau era.
The building was constructed in the territory of an old aristocratic manor in 1879 by architect P. Zhukov. Famous people of Russia who stayed here include: Andrei Bely and Alexander Blok, Valery Bryusov, Ivan Bunin, Konstantin Balmont, Leonid Andreyev, Igor Severyanin, and the Musaget symbolists publishing house and S.N. Fisher first girls’ classical gymnasium, were located here.

Rooms
The 15 high-ceilinged rooms are equally refined, with elegant Art Nouveau furnishings (including stately chandeliers), high quality fabrics, large comfortable beds and amenities such as satellite TV with international channels, a pillow menu, minibars and coffee machines. Bathrooms are equally smart and sumptuous, with Molton Brown toiletries and fluffy robes and slippers, bidets and tubs.

Classic rooms are on the small side, but comfortable enough for two. Suites come with a work desk and plush living room big enough for a large sofa and armchair. Views are either over the boulevard (noise levels are very low) or the peaceful hotel garden

Food & drink
Restourant Aoduvan
The hotel's restaurant menu offers a sense of luxury.
The restaurant chef only serves seasonal and organic produce.
