A Hotel to Avoid.
A HOTEL TO AVOID! UNLESS IT'S PAID BY YOUR COMPANY AND YOU HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE!
I have stayed in more than 50 Hilton properties and on average I stay more than 70 nights per year in hotels. This property is by far one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. This hotel is flagged as five-star hotel but I would say this is barely a four star by my experience.
As a diamond member, upon check in, I was not explained anything about the hotel, nor the benefits of diamond member, nor welcomed/greeted by the check in agent, the gentleman simply checked me in and handed me the key card... without saying anything nor explaining anything... I felt like I was checking in in a three-star hotel.
The telephone in the room 1235 was not working properly. When I was on speaker mode, I could barely hear the other side talking. I have complained about this matter to the front desk multiple times during our call but no solution was offered or provided. I had to make several calls and the call experience was terrible.
On the second day of my stay, I was in the room in the morning so I told the cleaning staff to come later. At 1pm in the afternoon, I called the front desk that I would be going out for one hour and would like housekeeping, the lady said yes and I left the room. One hour later, I came back, room still not cleaned... At 4pm, I wanted my room cleaned so I intentionally left the room for a while and called the front desk team to clean my room, the gentleman said the cleaning staff would come soon so I left the room... Guess what, one hour later I came back, the room was still what it was like before I left. I called the front desk to complain and they didn't really address anything. They did sent a gentleman to give me some fruit and a small cake, which was in my opinion something that a five star hotel would normally do as a welcome gift upon arrival of a high-tier member, not as something to address the some stupid mistake that the hotel has made. The gentleman simply rushed into my room and laid down this plate, without apologizing or anything...
I had a late flight so as a diamond member I would like to have late check out (usually at 4pm when there is availability). I called the front desk midnight on the second day of my stay, the gentleman from the front desk team said they could let me check out at 1pm otherwise I have to pay... I confirmed again and they said this holds also for diamond member... What a MESS. If I had to pay it means there is availability, then why do I have to pay for a 1PM check out?? The staff in this hotel really needs to be trained properly. In the end, I had to call the Hilton central line and asked for a late check out, the lady on the other side gave me a 4pm check out without any ask... In my opinion, Hilton should really remove this property from the list because the general standard is just too low.
I had a lot of other small issues throughout my stay. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff is not trained and most of them seemed like they don't know what they are doing/ slacking.
Only delight was Mr. Ananda from front desk team, he provided some great help at the end of my stay and he was very professional. So thank you!
