Thank you so much, I had a great time! Friendly staff, free map, clean room, great location in the city. Breakfast was nice, too (Variation in tea and bread was fun). But, the phone (to the reception) in the room was broken and there was no toothbrush and toothpaste (sorry if it’s normal in hotels in Europe).

Stayed for a night. Everything went fine. The hotel is within walking distance to most restaurants. The breakfast was decent. The lobby is beautiful, but nothing extremely special in the rooms, they looked a little bit old and had been remodeled recently. The bathtub was very small, really only had room to showering. But had everything we needed, clean, quiet, comfortable.

Nice room, clean and spacious. We requested a kettle for tea and coffee as it wasn’t clearly mentioned on the website and we found it in the cupboard when we arrived. Amazing! However, 3 little packets of chips/peanuts were placed next to the kettle plate inside the cupboard (near the safe and where we hang our clothes) so we assumed it was free to take and was like ‘welcome snacks’. We discovered at the end of our stay that it was part of the ‘mini-bar’ thing, which was placed at a totally different place in the room (the fridge for extra drinks was also not even turned on). In the end, we had to pay 7,50 euros extra for those tiny packets (clearly too expensive for what it was). We found it very sneaky as it should have been clearly mentioned and put with the drinks from the mini-bar then! The price of the hotel is also not cheap, so why make us pay additional costs like this. Another bigger issue we faced was the parking next to the hotel. Although it doesn’t belong to the hotel, it gives direct access to it and is convenient to use for travellers. We were asked if we came by car but were never warned about one important thing to take into account: we cannot exit the parking until 3pm on Sunday because of the market. We decided to leave in the morning and our car was stuck in a weird place.

Solid location. Room was spacious, on the 4th floor, had a lovely view of some great historical architecture out the full-wall window. The rooms have been nicely renovated and have a lot of useful extras (iron, sewing kit etc), lots of cupboards, and the bathroom is also spacious. Some of the features show their age and there's a little bit of evidence of the previous decor, but nothing too glaring. Concierge was also very patient with an issue we had with the Antwerp Ucoins system. Breakfast buffet was of a fair standard with a wide variety of options - jams were great, some niche items like vegan yoghurt were available. Overall, pretty decently priced for center of Antwerp.
