My partner and I decided to go away for the weekend to Manchester but didn't know where to stay. My friend had recommended The Alan Hotel, so we decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed. The hotel is a real hidden gem!! The staff were all incredibly friendly, helpful and polite. The rooms were spacious, modern with an industrial twist giving homage to the history of the building. The bed was very comfortable and the products they provided in the bathroom were gorgeous. The bar is cool but informal and the food was amazing! We had planned to go somewhere else for dinner but when we saw what the chefs were cooking we decided to stay! It was incredible and a fabulous evening was had by all.

Just incredible. We originally booked the standard suite and were upgraded to the master, both absolutely stunning rooms. The lobby is amazing, nice relaxed vibe with super helpful and friendly staff. We had breakfast prior to checking out which was delicious and fair priced. Perfect location, already planning my next visit. Cannot praise this hotel enough.

An amazing vibe about the place. From the decor to the drinks, the food to the finishing touches, The Alan has it nailed! Our room was spacious and stylish, the bed was super comfortable and we had the best nights sleep. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and the cocktail list was delicious! The only negative is that  we didn't stay longer.

The main hotel is lovely with a nice boutique feel, but the rooms were pretty basic, and looked like they could have been in a Premier Inn. They were perfectly fine, but not quite the boutique feel I was expecting from the photos I had seen online. The two things that stood out were that the beds themselves were full king size, and were comfortable. The hand soap in the bathrooms was quite pungent and smelled a bit like liquorice, which some people will love, but wasnt for us! It was OK - there was nothing wrong with it, but we'll stay elsewhere next time we are looking for a boutique hotel.
