Savoy Hostel Galway City Centre

Incredibly dirty and dusty to the point where my friend had several asthma attacks. The whole place felt like it hadn't been cleaned properly in years. Breakfast was also very limited without milk or hot water since the dispensers were broken. The only pro is the great location but it's not worth destroying your health for.

The reason why this hostel is popular is because is the cheapest hostel in Galway and because of its location! The rooms are most of the time dirty and if they clean them is maybe twice a week and if you stay in long term don’t even think of having your sheets changed until you are gone! The common area is always a mess and the kitchen is old and very dirty!

I stayed In a four beds ensuite. The room was ok, everything was clean and I had a window. Curtains in the beds would be nice. The common area was dirty and the no window turned the place not as nice. The breakfast was very simple, but was there. Make sure you have a room with window...but it is a hostel, the location is very good.

The rooms are clean and big enough. So is the bathroom. I had one bathroom for a 4-bed dorm. There is a lot of electric plugs in the rooms (as well as USB plugs to charge our devices). The common room is big, with a few sofas and tables. The reception and the staff are good too. However the common kitchen is not that good. The hot plates are quite old and spent, and there is only a few old basic utensiles.
