The Building Hotel

I can’t recommend it to be honest.
Tiny rooms (not enough space for 2 suitcases to open!)
No air conditional/heater control (you have to call reception constantly any time to change the room temperature).
Slow internet.
Really Below average breakfast.
€50 per couple to access steam room and indoor pool.
Don’t get sucked in my the glitzy photos like us. I certainly wouldn’t come back.
On the plus side, very acceptable gym. Rare in Rome!

This hotel is a false 4 stars hotel! They pretend that they provide high quality services but sadly enough, the truth is entirely different. The rooms are small, sad and depressing and cheaply made (no real wood, plugs falling out of the wall when you unplug your charger, stains everywhere...). They do not give out new products everyday, we were sometimes stealing shower gel from the spa! And the room didn't get clean 2 days in a row because they always showed up at the only times we were in the room! The staff is friendly, but they don't go that extra mile in their services, you can feel their lack of experience. The rooms are clean though. The breakfast is basic. We paid for the access to the spa, which was really nice, but their system where you have to book a slot for yourself is not convenient (even if I understand why they do it), sometimes they don't even have enough time for you, or they cancel your slot just because the spa girl is sick (as if no one else in the hotel could open a door and give keys for a locker! And of course, you need to ask to get a refund for your spa day, they wouldn't even think of offering that to you)... Long story short: very disappointing!

The location is great, close to Termini station! Room is so clean, big bathroom. Nice staff, delociouse breakfast. I gave only 4 stars because for air conditioning you have to go to reception to get heat or cold air. They control this. From room you cannot control the climing. Otherwise, great hotel!

The eccepisce has been overall good...
The room is big and the bathroom also well isolated. Mattresses are decent (not the best I've found), blanket synthetic instead of wood.
The position is perfect placed near the railway station at walk distance but far from the crowd. The subway is 5min walking (castro pretorio). The British Embassy in front has a waste garden in front of the room.
Unfortunately small problems have kept me to give 5 star. For instance The sign in the bathroom that ask to keep your towels more days in order to save energy and improve sustainability: I strongly wanted to do it, but i had all towels changed everyday.
The VMC was noisy at night and impossible to stop.
The TV has also the possibility to deliver music from radios but no one was working, impossible to tune in my preferred radio.
The breakfast: having to choose from a menu paper doesn't allow you to understand what is really tasty freshly and good, only the third morning i was sure to what i want to get for breakfast.
