Hotel St. Gotthard

The reception and housekeeping staff are excellent, professional and friendly. We enjoyed first-class service while staying here. Located near the main train station, there is easy access to the underground shopping mall and, eventually, the train when it's time to go. We have stayed here before and enjoyed a similar experience. The procedures in place for COVID transmission reduction are good ones.

The hotel was located in an awesome location, it was only a short walk to the train station and nearby had a lot of nice shopping areas and food outlets. The rooms were very spacious and nicely decorated. Managed to bump into the lady owner of the hotel during our check in and she was one of the most friendly person we met. The hotel staff was also very helpful and polite, when helping us with the check in and out. Would have wanted to stay more days in the hotel if we had more days in Zurich. Looking forward to staying there again next time I'm there. There is also a tram service just below the hotel, so travelling around Zurich is a breeze, everything else is just a short walk away, convenient and nice.

Literally 3 minutes walk from the entrance to train station. Comfortable and cozy. Modernized older building right on Bahnhofstrasse. Staff are a bit quiet but helpful and very friendly. Have been staying here repeatedly when visiting Zurich and plan to continue.

Bare bones hotel in a great location.  I did not experience the rude staff some other people mentioned, they were friendly enough.  The hotel itself is extremely dated and basic, you are really staying here for its excellent location.  Not sure why this hotel is ranked as a 4-star hotel.
