Sokos Hotel Presidentti

We had a great stay. Really comfy bed. Lovely breakfast. Staff really friendly, but we waited a long time to check in and for our evening meal. Seems understaffed. Otherwise really good.

It is rather decent hotel in a nice location but the service at the breakfast ruined the overall experience. I was about to select some juice but the new system on a tablet was perplexing. Suddenly there was an employee next to me and he literally started to shout at me, do I speak Russian (I am Russian living in Finland, knowing both languages equally well) as I somehow looked Russian to him, and with a poor Russian aggressively asked, do I want juice and with angry manner showed how to do it. I was terrified. His attitude towards me was racist and insulting. I suggest everybody stay away from this hotel. There are fortunately many other hotels in Helsinki that provide good and friendly service.

I had never visited the floors & rooms before. The new, fresh floors and differetly themed floors are delightful! My friend stayed on the fifth floor suite called Midsummer and I fell in love with it! The lift lobby ceiling (on the fifth floor) was covered with a huge mural photo of a plant, the loudspeakers emitted beautiful nature sounds (birds, trees etc) and the walls featured text. The only thing missing was the scent of Midsummer. The suite itself had a sunset view over "Luomus"; the Natural History Museum, and the suite is huge! Will definitely visit again...perhaps we'll arrange a gathering with close friends to celebrate my Birthday on the "Midsummer floor" in the middle of the winter!

Really nice hotel. Fantastic pool and sauna. Perfect location for central Helsinki, short walk from the central train station. Huge choice of breakfast options. Very clean rooms with comfy beds.
