Dooley's Hotel Waterford

The hotel has been a long lasting family run business. It is located on Merchant's Quay along the river. A city parking lot for a long and short stay is in front of the hotel. We had a great dinner at the bar and restaurant. The location of the hotel is wonderful to explore the Viking Triangle and other ancient structures in town.

Just got back from a long weekend at Dooley’s Hotel Waterford. What an excellent stay we had. Hotel was lovely, spotless clean and all staff a credit. They couldn't do enough for us. The food was also excellent. Had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend.

Reception area is lovely, as are the photos of rooms on website. The room we got was like stepping back in time or sleeping in your granny's spare room. Although it was clean, everything was very dated. Legs on chairs were lose so when you sat on them they moved. Floors were so creaky, we could hear every movement upstairs. It was said to duty manager on check out and he explained that some parts of hotel were being renovated at the front of hotel and the back ones haven't been done yet. We were offered a free breakfast but declined as we couldnt wait to get home. Rooms advertised on website are not what we got. I'm sure when the other rooms are done it would be a lovely hotel.

Just got back from a weekend staying at dooleys  and i must say the hotel and staff are amazing the rooms are lovely and beds comfortable  the internet connection was quite bad but you could use the wifi in the reception and the bar/restaurant  its well worth booking for breakfast as it was 5 star  we went there for a family reunion and we enjoyed the food and bar service i would return to this hotel in the future as the stay there  was very enjoyable the staff go above and beyond to make you happy and are very friendly.
