Fitzwilton Hotel

Had a good one night get away at the fitzwilton but unfortunately there were a few let downs to our stay, the facilities and rooms at the hotel are noticeably tired and worn which doesn’t match the hotel’s 4 star rating but everything was spotlessly clean, there was also construction taking place which was a bit noisy but there were notices to explain for this disruption and the staff did make us aware at check in. The staff however could not have been more friendly and helpful, definitely a credit to the hotel! Also I just have to comment on the breakfast because it was delicious and there was a great spread, again the waiting staff at breakfast were so helpful and friendly.

The rooms was beautiful and spotlessly clean, they were doing construction in the main bar and we were informed of this before we arrived. The staff was lovely and the food in the restaurant was delicious. However the one thing that put me off was the lack of parking, there is about a total of about 15 parking spaces for the hotel and that is it we were told it is on a 1st come 1st serve basis. For a 4 star you would expect them to have plenty of parking. Other then the parking situation it was a lovely staff.

Great deal for the room, had 401. Would of loved a mini fridge! Food in the bar was great, cocktail are a miss, would of just preferred the girl to say no cocktails than what was served!! Ideal location and all the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming! Carpark is scarily tight!

First off when we checked in the two ladies on reception where so friendly I could stayed chatting for ages! Room was spotless. The restaurant i have to say the food was fantastic so much so we didn't eat out anywhere else for our stay! A special mention to Owen behind the bar brilliant at his job thought he worked there years! A total asset. We will definitely be back!
