MEININGER Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz

Great for a short break. Tight space for 4 in one room for 4 people but perfect for the short time we spent in the room. Overall clean. Friendly helpful staff. Near transport to everywhere. Didn't eat but the communal area was packed every morning for breakfast.

Our long stay at the Alexanderplatz location was very pleasant. They have greatly exceeded my expectations considering the price point, and the staff were very keen to resolve issues for us. I would just advise if you have an important request, make sure you speak to a supervisor, as a lot of staff are junior or new.

I stayed at the Meininger in East Side Gallery a few weeks back and decided to come here, hoping for a property on a similar level. The rooms are much, much smaller, not cleaned well, and beds seem to be of worse quality. The location is okay- roughly 20min walk to Alexanderplatz but there’s ubahn right by the hotel. Friendly front desk staff. Would have been acceptable if it didn’t cost us €180 for a 4person room with small bunk beds!

Breakfast and dinner were terrible(everyday something with tomatosauce and there wasnt a real buffet, you got the tomato sauce option and some salad u can put together with cucumber slices as thick as a thumb), also I had problems with my keycard EVERY SINGLE DAY!!
I had to go down to the reception to get a new card. I am not unsporty but it was bothering me alot.
