Alcanea Boutique Hotel

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had a wonderful experience! The front desk staff is so so so sweet. On two of the days we stayed here we left very early in the morning to go exploring and they packed us a lunch pack with sandwiches, fruit, beach towels, and yogurt to take with us! :) We were only going to stay one night here and ended up staying 3 because we loved it so much. The rooms are beautiful as well.

The position right on the harbour is the star of the Alcanea Boutique Hotel but the staff take the experience over and beyond our expectations. Nothing was too difficult for them and we have never had such a warm and genuine experience in a hotel. We never wanted to leave. Also, a note re breakfast. So many choices prepared to your specifications. In all, this stay was an experience to remember.

We loved our stay at Alcanea! Gorgeous rooms, perfect location, wonderful breakfast, and a charming local atmosphere. Eva & the rest of the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended!

Lovely hotel. Everything was great - fab location, comfy rooms - but two things deserve special mention. Firstly, the breakfast was incredible - you can order lots of Cretan dishes that are freshly prepared. Secondly, Eva is the friendliest, most welcoming and helpful host you could wish for. She really goes above and beyond to care for the hotel guests. (Ask Eva to help you choose your breakfast dishes if you’re not sure what to try - she did this for us and it was one of the best meals I have had in Crete!). Wonderful hotel, I hope to be back!
