Copenhagen in Feb
We stayed at Nyhavn Hotel for 4 brilliant nights. The staff were all very courteous and helpful, the rooms comfortable and warm which is a must for February. The location although a 5 to 10 minute walk from the nearest Metro, is excellent with many cafes, bars and restaurants all within easy walking. Also in walking distance are several attractions like Tivoli Gardens, dressed in snow when we visited, with its many eating and drinking choices and not forgetting the fairground rides. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and hope to return, maybe in summer months, great short break.

Absolutely unique and fabulous hotel
This is an amazing hotel, which we would whole heartedly recommend to friends and family.

The hotel is an old warehouse converted into a boutique hotel. The hotel has managed to preserve the old charm with exposed beams and simple fixtures in the rooms. The rooms are simple yet stunning. The beds are extremely comfortable. And our room had a beautiful view of the canal. It was a great spot for people watching in a bustling area.

The staff are incredibly kind and gracious. Everyone is eager to help with everything from reservations to directions to changes in plans. We unfortunately had to cut our trip short because of a family emergency back home. The hotel staff helped us make the necessary changes and were so empathetic and kind to us throughout.

We also dined in Sea by Kiin Kiin on the main floor of the hotel and had an absolutely lovely dining experience.

We cannot wait to return to Copenhagen and stay at 71 Nyhavn again.

PERFECT!
This must be the best hotel to stay in for visiting Copenhagen. Not only is the location perfect, the hotel is wonderful, the staff are amazing and so helpful and wait til you have breakfast!

Our room was perfect, the cosiest bed ever. Toasty underfloor heating in the bathroom and a Nespresso coffee machine!

The hotel very kindly gifted me a bottle of bubbles for my birthday on arrival. A lovely gesture. We were totally happy for four days and will certainly return.

Perfect location, excellent hotel
We stayed for three nights bed and breakfast and we were very impressed with the whole experience.
On arrival we were offered an upgrade to a junior suite at a reduced rate which we accepted.
The room had nice views overlooking Nyhavn and was large with a big comfortable bed. The bathroom was small but adequate. The Junior Suits offers a free mini bar which is great as alcoholic beverages are expensive in Copenhagen.
The staff were excellent, friendly and efficient from our arrival through to departure. They gave us advice on local restaurants and attractions.
The hotel is recently refurbished and was spotless. The room service was first rate.
We really enjoyed the breakfast, it was leisurely and relaxing. A good selection of fruit, pastries, cheese, cold meats and the cooked breakfast superb. The breakfast set us up for the day.
A five minute walk from the train station and 20 minutes by train to the airport.
We enjoyed our relaxing stay at the Hotel and would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Wonderful hotel in lovely location
My husband and I stayed here in January and had a wonderful visit. The hotel is in a wonderful location at the intersection of 2 canals in the Nyhavn section of the city. Very old, cool but pretty touristy area. The hotel however is at the end of the row and is quite, away enough from the restaurants/pubs lining the canal to feel peaceful and calm. Our room overlooked the canals on the 4th floor and was just lovely. Exposed wood beams in the ceilings AND heated bathroom floor! Quite spacious as well. The breakfast that is included was very good. Plenty of delicious food options along with a great omelette station. We had drinks in the lounge as well which was quite nice. The location is great to access other areas of the city, especially the Palace and Little Mermaid and Cathedral all a nice walk along the canal. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

cozy neat and friendly
At the end of this very picturesque district of Copenhagen is this gentle gem of a hotel
My son and I had a room at the top floor.
On arrival I expected not to be able to get into the room right away as it was mid morning. Fortunately a room was available. A sofa bed was quickly organized as there was only one queen sized bed.
Bed sheets were clean and crisp. The bathroom of good size and the room was well lit.
The hotel is 5 minutes walk to the nearest train station and 3 minutes to the bus stop.
Breakfast was good and the variety was reasonable. We did not try the southeast Asian themed restaurant.
Less than 15 min walk is the Royal Palace with the guard change at noon. Being winter the rain was a threat but remained only a threat.
A great hot dog stand is nearby almost as good as my favourite hot dog stand in Pier 39 San Francisco.

The desk staff was very very helpful in pointing us in the right direction
I would return to this place when next in Copenhagen

Such a cute hotel in Nyhavn
If you stay in Copenhagen, prices for hotels are super expensive compared to other EU countries, but 71 Nyhavn hotel has some pretty good deals taking into consideration the location and the fact that this place can definitely count as higher end hotel. Everything is super modern, super eco-friendly, the rooms are tiny, very clean, but for short or business stays its actually a perfect fit. I loved the whole concept and had a wonderful, comfortable stay.
The reception was welcoming, though a bit hard to understand my requests regarding the room and invoicing, but they did not forget about the breakfast to go box which gave them a good point from me. I would surely come back if again in CPH.

Great location
After lots of research we plumped for this hotel as the location seemed perfect for a long weekend. It certainly was, step outside and you are amongst the cafes and restaurants.

The rooms are not particularly big, but it was adequate for us and very clean with big comfy beds.

We hired bikes from the hotel for the day and cycled many miles, such a safe place to cycle around and see lots of the area.

Breakfast was extensive and we ate outside every morning as the weather was wonderful.

Location, location, location
This hotel was perfect for a long weekend dropping my child off for a study program. The location allowed me to set out in a different direction each day and walk to my hearts content. I was able to see so much of my to do list in two full days.
The front desk helped w maps and advice and an umbrella when needed ;-).
To start my day there was a full offering of breakfast foods, cold, hot, or made to order. Fruits, granolas, breads and even smoothies were available. The breakfast was so hearty I didn't need lunch - and continued my day touring right into dinner.
Rooms were small - but had everything I needed - bed was super comfortable, coffee maker was there to greet me when I woke up and when I returned from a cold wet walk. Bathrooms were clean and showers were delightfully soothing. (floors were heated also).
Loved this little gem and was so pleased w availability to restaurants, bars, sights, and of course the famous canal + canal tours.

What a lovely hotel with really nice staff! The bedroom and view are amazing, with a really good location on the canal in central CPH. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay here with their family or friends. The breakfast is also delicious! The really cool thing is that this hotel was an old warehouse that has been turned into a 4 star hotel.

We picked this hotel for its good location and stayed several nights here. It exceeded our expectations for cosy atmosphere, super helpful service and lovely characterful rooms. They even provide free wine and snacks in the afternoon! Recommended.

Your experience here will vary depending on where your room is located. Overall, the rooms have thin walls, you can hear every word the next door neighbors speaks. My room was also located next to the elevator, so I could hear the elevator running. Rooms are small. Breakfast however is very good and well made. There are even some option for a vegan in terms of hummus, mushrooms, smooties etc.
I would say that it's a bit pricey for what you get, but I guess you pay for the location.

The best location in Copenhagen right by the canal, lovely historic building for this unfussy but stylish hotel. Nice rooms with everything you would need, ours didn’t have a view but we weren’t bothered. It was our anniversary and there was a bottle of sparkling cava in our room which was a lovely touch. The breakfast is outstanding and we also ate in the Italian restaurant which transforms from the breakfast restaurant in the evenings. It was one of the best Italian meals we have had. Copenhagen is expensive but once you get over that the service is first class and the staff all speak perfect English and are super friendly and I’d be very surprised if most people didn’t find this a very nice place to stay.

Description

Location
It’s in prime waterfront position, on the corner where photogenic Nyhavn (departure point for sightseeing boat tours) meets the harbour.
There’s a water bus stop just behind the hotel and it’s just a couple of minutes’ walk to the harbour bridge that leads across to the canals and cafes of Christianshavn.

Rooms
With a fantastic atmosphere and unique location at the last frontier in Nyhavn Canal, 71 Nyhavn Hotel is at home in two newly renovated warehouse buildings from the early 1800. The hotel encompasses 130 rooms decorated with humble respect for the history of the buildings with a repartition of 66 refurbished rooms in “The Yellow Warehouse” and 64 rooms in “The Red Warehouse”, which have also received an extensive upgrade.

Food & Drink
Enjoy the brand new restaurant SEA by Kiin Kiin – Southeast Asian kitchen. The restaurant has a key role in the beautiful warehouse at the address in Nyhavn. With respect for the old warehouse, the restaurant is decorated with a clear reference to Hong Kong in the year of 1930.
