H3 Hotel Rotterdam City Center Bv

We were very disappointed with our experience at the hotel. My partner wanted to take a shower right away as we were in the rain. We didn’t think to check the room (assuming it was fine). I saw 4, yes 4, different types of hair on our bed sheets and another one on a towel. We went downstairs to ask for a different room but because we used it we could not get a new one. They offered to change the sheets for us which was fine. The sink was clogged but when we tried to drain it, the lever was broken. We came back from dinner and the room was freezing, the space heater provided smelt burnt and had cigarettes inside. The shower still smelled like plaster from the renovation and the hair dryer was too weak to dry your hands, let alone your hair. The building smelled old. There was no elevator so we had to take the stairs with our luggage up to the 3rd floor. There were bags of dirty laundry and  cleaning supplies in the stairwell and hallway which is firstly a fire hazard and secondly not very professional or presentable. I’ve been to hostels 10x better than this. It was not worth the 60€ we paid that night. I would not go there again or recommend it to anyone.

I'm only rating H3 Hotel 3 out of 5 stars because I wish it was better than what we paid. It's not worth the price but I guess it is if you consider the location it's in it's okay. It's very close to all the shops, supermarkets, lots of nice restaurants, cafes, etc.However travelling within Rotterdam is very easy there are metros, trams, busses that can take you wherever you need.

Great location! The bed is super narrow. Size not even a twin (zelfs smaller dan een eenpersoons bed) The rooms look beautiful, but clearly design and layout done by a man. As the functionality isn't there No room to place your items, so everything needs to stay in the suitcase. Bathroom is beautiful, but just a sink with no room for personal items In the room there is a closet, which for a strange reason you are not able to use as a closet. because the flat screen TV is mounted in it. Why!!! Just move the TV to the wall, place a narrow shelving on the wall. A 1-2 person coffee maker, microwave in the lobby. Some small adjustments would make it traveller friendly. And for a hotel it's the traveller who need pleasing not solely just pleasing for the eye!! The staff is great, and friendly!!! No complaints at all!

Highly-recommended affordable hotel in the city center of Rotterdam! I love staying here whenever I visit a day or two in the city. Hassle-free and friendly staff!
Pros: affordable hotel in the city centre; staff are approachable, friendly and helpful; clean cozy new rooms - the beds were great!!! You can just relax the whole time you’re there. Shops and restaurants are just around the corner. Great location! Wifi was good! In total, it’s a good deal!
Cons: no free parking, no telephone in the rooms, and no lift; as well as no free drinks (coffee/tea). Overall, it is still way better than other same price hotels nearby!
