City Hotel Odense

The room was very small, but the bed was actually quite comfortable. There is no air conditioning, so it tends to get a bit stuffy unless you keep your windows open. The shower didn’t look great but functioned well. The breakfast was not bad at all - not a huge selection, just all the essential such as eggs, sausages, veggies, bread, etc. And the staff members were nice and helpful, even offered a free sparking wine upon check in. Location isn’t downtown-central, but it’s only a 10-15 min walk away from city center, so that was fine.

Very well managed hotel. Great skilled and dedicated staff. Had amazing tapas,  wauw that dessert! Breakfast well above average for the size. Billiard room, Library, Rooftop terrace were great. Downsides: room was very hot, night noise bad with open window. Guess that comes with location, nothing was far away.

The hotel is fine overall. Warm reception, staff very friendly and rooms that are okay for one or two nights. It's very centric also. Problem for us was that the room smelled of smoke (especially the pillows and the blankets) and the breakfast buffet was a bit poor. Also, there was a bit of mould in the shower. If you plan to stay one night in Odense, like we did, I'd say it's a good choice.

The location was extremely convenient and located walkable distance to the train station. The service was fast but luggage storage was not in a room, just sitting at the corner in front of the front desk. The room was fine but the bathroom wasn't as clean as I'd have liked.
