Snuffel Hostel

Excellent hostel with new showers and plentiful included breakfast (they listened to the critics). Friendly workers and useful lockers available before and after your stay. Good quality/price ratio.

This is a hostel not a hotel. So crowd is mostly students and the younger travellers under 30. But it is cheap and continental breakfast is included. However it is very noisy and loud until late and customers, although, between 18 and 30, should be reminded that they are other guests in the hotel and keep the noise down in the rooms. We had a twin room with shared bathroom. Very large, clean and comfortable accommodation. The downsize is that there are only 2 male showers, 2 female showers and 2 disable showers. For about 20 rooms. So you have to wait your turn. My advice book a room with private shower. Staff in general were helpful except the girl on duty the afternoon of check out. We hired some bikes for the afternoon from the hostel an when we returned them she was not very pleasant as if we disturbed her. Also she didn't bother to say thank you nor goodbye. Basically she might have had a problem with the fact that we weren't between 18 and 30. Still, the place was in a good location and pretty central.

This is the perfect place for younger and older people to meet up. Just be social i would say, there are open minded people there. Also a great team thats doing the service. Cheap for a beer, its 2.00euro and is located in almost the centrum. Its only 800meters from the big market.

Snuffles is easy going and fun. The rooms were clean and spacious, while being extremely reasonably priced. The bartender helped us cook food, which would typically be against any establishment's motives. The sufficient breakfast is free, which is a lot more than one can ask for. The bar is cosy and the lockers are free too. Even if you don't like Bruges, you might want to come here to chill from a quaint European town.
