Avalon Hotel

A nice and clean hotel in the middle of Gothenburg. The receptionist staff was very nice and helpful. Only two things i have to point out is that the cleaning staff started cleaning very early, and that you barely had time to finish your breakfast before the attendant removed your plate, lading you feel like you had to hurry up and leave.

The Avalon Hotel is nicely located in the center of Gothenburg. The hotel can be reached by foot from the central station, or by bus or tram. If you come from the airport using the airport bus it is also conveniently located from where the buses stop. The hotel has a boutique character, with very nice interior design, interesting rooms, and a different and nice design of the lobby and restaurant. The hotel also features a spectacular swimming pool at the top of the building. The rooms are nice and bright and are cleaned very well. The rooms are quiet and we couldn’t hear any neighbors. The staff is friendly and professional. There was no wait when we checked in and out. The food in the restaurant is very good, and so is the breakfast buffet. We will definitely come back.

Avalon hotel is conveniently located right in the city centre of Gothenburg. You have pretty much everything within walking distance. We booked a "staycation-package" Deluxe on their website. It meant staying for one night in a Deluxe doubleroom with a private terrace including a three course dinner in the hotels restaurant. The hotel: the whole interior of the hotel is designed with the celebration of arts in mind. And it's nicely done too. Cosy, welcoming and interesting! The staff was very friendly and serviceminded. The room itself was spacesous and clean and offered both a tub and separate shower, two comfortable lounge-chairs and a very comfortable bed. And of course a private terrace overlooking the rooftops of central Gothenburg. Perfect! The restaurant: very professional and serviceminded staff. And a really nice three course meal! Far exceeded our expectations! All in all, I can highly recommend you try both the hotel and the restaurant!

Lovely chic hotel. Every room is different which is quite unique. The rooftop bar and pool is also lovely during the summer months. The free breakfast has a great selection. Only downside is that there is no gym in the building. However, they have a partnership with one near by.
