A HOTEL WITH A MINDSET ON ENSURING YOUR STAY IS SUPERB & SEAMLESS!
This is a hotel I would not hesitate to stay at again!
On arriving (during lunch-time) - I must admit though that I was taken aback that the hotel reception is a tiny space, fronted by the hustle and bustle of its on-site cafe and brasserie. However, their front-desk staff on duty - Jacquelyn checked me in, with a very cheery and upbeat explanation of what to expect, provided me a very handy "what's on this week" pamphlet for Vienna, and even, gave me info on the nearest supermarket.
In all - I stayed 5 nights in this super efficient, well-run, well-designed (Philip Starck no less) boutique hotel in Vienna. There was a two-day break in my stay, and when I returned, earlier requests like an additional waste bin for the room, additional bath mat etc were thoughtfully met!
Appreciated as well the inclusive mini-bar, Jura coffee machine, and although electric kettles are not allowed in the room - hot water to make tea was sent up very quickly on request. Loved also the two chocolate treats on arrival in the room too.
Shout-outs especially to front desk and bell staff - in particular Alexander, Jacquelyn of course, plus the other ladies at the front desk, Willy and the other couple of bell staff who were super helpful too.
Its location is par excellent - couldn't ask for anything better. I walked everywhere - and hopefully the next time I return to stay at The Guesthouse Vienna - the construction sites in that area would be gone, which will make it even more convenient. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk to the Kaiserplatz U-Bahn (the city's underground metro), and the State Opera House.
Kudos too to the hotel for "keeping up with the times" with a mobile number for WhatsApp messaging - this made it super convenient for me to message the hotel with queries and requests, even when on the go.
THANK YOU, Guesthouse Vienna for being a TRUE HIGHLIGHT of my stay in beautiful Vienna. Will definitely be back.
