Best Hotel in Oslo!!
Me and my wife had great time in this hotel due to outstanding service, very nice & clean rooms, friendly & helpful staff, fantastic restaurant & bar and best location. This is my second time in this hotel and we were upgraded to fantastic junior suite for both stays!
This hotel is definitely worth the price and we will always stay there every time we visit Oslo.

Outstanding Hotel - Great Location
This really is a an outstanding hotel. I stayed here for three nights on a business trip, but will definitely return if visiting on vacation.

Location is excellent. If you are arriving by plane, just take the train to National Theatre station which is in front of the hotel. It is about a five minute walk to the harbour and all the restaurants at Aker Brygge.

The rooms seem to have been recently refurbished and mine was immaculate. What was especially impressive was the sound insulation. My room looked over the main street but was wonderfully peaceful.

Huge choice on offer at breakfast and the Theatercafeen is a must visit.

Fitness room was not large but is well equipped.

Wonderful
This is an elegant and perfectly located hotel for visiting Oslo. Located just moments from a travel hub, convenience stores and incredible restaurants, including the fantastic restaurants in the hotel itself. Staff were courteous and helpful. Our room was perfect, clean, comfortable and so quiet despite the hotel being busy during our stay. My husband I loved the wonderful breakfasts and service at Caroline’s, enjoyed an impromptu lunch at the Bar Bowman and had two scrumptious meals at Theatercaffen and Erik Anne’s Etage respectively. Service was unparalleled and the food was divine. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We loved Oslo, loved the Norwegian culture and are planning to go back.

There’s a reason this is the #1 hotel in Oslo!
Having stayed at other hotels in the city, I can confidently say this is the best hotel in Oslo. Everything was 5 star.

Location is very central - about 100 meters from Nationaltheater Station. It’s walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars and the business district.

The service is terrific - everyone was friendly, attentive and happy.

Room service was fast and friendly.

Room was wonderful - great size, with a very comfy bed. Good lighting. Shower and bathtub. Lots of power outlets. Nespresso coffeemaker. Good hair dryer and thermostat that got both cold and hot.

Fitness center is great, albeit slightly small with only 2 treadmills, one bike and one tower for cardio. Ample weights though with nice music, terrific lighting and good temperature.

It is slightly expensive but then again, everything in Oslo is. It’s definitely worth the money and I can’t wait to return!

Favourite Oslo hotel
High quality furnishing and bedding with luxurious bathroom with Molten Brown accessories
Good variety and quality breakfast
Fitness room small but well equipped although a cross trainer would be a good addition.
One point to improve on would be the towels which do not live up to the other room furnishings and linen
My favourite place to stay in Oslo and nice central location

Great overall - construction was a the only downfall
Stayed here for 1 night, and it was great! We opted for the deluxe double room, the bathroom was extremely clean, had heated floors, glass shower and a separate tub that was the perfect size. The bed was fairly comfortable, it was king size, however it had 2 individual blankets. I know that is a very Norwegian practice, I would still prefer 1 blanket. The service was absolutely outstanding! There was construction going on in the hotel, unfortunately our room was quite close to where it was happening, and it started really early and woke me up. It is a lovely hotel, and once the construction is done I would highly recommend checking it out!

Wonderful Hotel
My mom, sister, and I stayed at the Continental for three nights and overall, it was a wonderful experience. Even though our room was very small, and we were pretty cramped, we were very comfortable there. The breakfast is fantastic, we were obsessed with the chia pudding! And we enjoyed spending some down time in the hotel bar, which had great drinks and service.

The only thing we didn't enjoy was our check-in experience. The woman who checked us in was a little snobby. We asked for restaurant recommendations in Oslo, and she recommended that we eat in the hotel bar or restaurant, which was weird. Maybe she's told to say that, but usually, when you go to a new city and ask the hotel for recommendations on what to see and eat, they tell you things that aren't in your actual hotel. We also wanted to see what was happening at the theater, with the full knowledge that it would probably be presented in Norwegian... we just wanted to attend for the experience. The woman told us that we wouldn't be able to understand what was going on, and made a face like we were crazy. Other than this weird experience, I would still recommend staying at this hotel!

Great Upgrade
I was lucky in two ways on my recent trip to Oslo. One was staying at the Hotel Continental and the second was being upgraded to a fantastic junior suite.

The suite was recently refurbished at a guess as it was immaculate. The bed and comfortable and a choice of pillows. The room was well appointed and with all the usual ammenities expected from a 5 star hotel.

All in all very pleased to have stayed there.

All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. This in opposition to the usual Oslo bar prices. Which I always find surprisingly high. The bar food was tasty though.

It is well located and despite the long running roadworks relatively easy to get to.

I'd be happy to stay again.

Excellent location, beautiful hotel, delicious Theater Cafe.
My son Paolo and I loved staying at Hotel Continental, it is such a special family owned Hotel.
The staff is very welcoming, professional and attentive.
We were very sad to leave.
I had stayed at the Continental years ago while attending a Leading Hotels Roadshow so I chose to return to your Hotel knowing that I would be extremely satisfied and happy.
My compliments and best regards

I was only able to stay in the Hotel Continental for a very short overnight stay but have already resolved to return for a rather longer stay in this lovely place. The staff were friendly and smiley and the whole establishment felt luxurious but comfortable. Breakfast was splendid and my sadly soon departure was made easier by the railway station with airport service being just across the road.

A company in Oslo booked us at the Hotel Continental. I'm a Marriott guy, but this hotel stood out as a shining beacon of what hotels used to be. Full service and high quality. From my junior suite with turn down service to the amazingly high quality breakfast and meals. Above all else, the staff was phenomenal and extremely courteous. I will be staying at the Continental on my future visits to Oslo.

Fantastic, simply fantastic. The price does seem high coming from outside the Nordic countries but after staying at other, less fancy hotels in Norway it is reasonable given the high level of service. The room was oh so comfortable and spacious, the bathtub was magnificent, and the location was perfect - while it may seem better to be near the main station I soon discovered the Continental was much better located. The airport express train goes to the National Theatre station one stop after Oslo Central and for the same price, and is less than a 3 minute walk to the hotel. I can't wait to return to Oslo and stay at the Hotel Continental again!

Great hotel ... Great staff.  Comfy and quiet, with style.  Adjacent to National Theatre and central Oslo sights.
Breakfast is wonderful, as are restaurants.  Try the multi course on the second stage .

Definitely 5 stars!  A very convenient location and easy access to the train station. We got upgraded to a junior suite and it was amazing. The place is very clean and spacious. The hotel staff is also very helpful and friendly.
The breakfast buffet is sumptuous. I feel that they have limited choices but the food quality is really good. Will definitely come back to this hotel if I am visiting Norway again! Cheers.
