Beautiful hotel with the best staff!
We stayed at the Corpo Santo for 4 nights mid February in a junior suite. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel at home, and took care of our every need. Joana, the guest services manager, seemed to always be available to assist us with any dinner recommendations, tour suggestions, directions and any other information we needed. She also hosted a walking tour we did on the morning we
arrived. She is a great guide and her love of Lisbon and her local knowledge was impressive. Make sure to take advantage of the walking tours - this is one of the only hotels we have ever stayed at that offered complimentary tours, and they were superb.
Our room was a junior suite located on the first floor (actually the second floor). It had double glass doors and windows to block out 99% of the noise from outside. There was a small balcony, and remote operated motorized privacy/night shades that were fantastic at blocking out the daylight. The bathroom featured a shower with chromatheapy lighting and sound that was very interesting. The bed was very comfortable, and the closet space was adequate. The room was sparkling clean, and everything worked perfectly.
We had breakfast everyday in the dining room - the host was very friendly and greeted us every day with a big smile. The food was excellent, with a choice of eggs, potatoes, meats, fruits, cheeses, rolls, bread and many other delicious choices.
The hotel also has an amazing basement housing a section of wall from the 14th century that was discovered during construction. It has been preserved and showcased in such a beautiful way - it is liking having a small museum right in the hotel.
The location of the hotel is also perfect, centrally located to all the best things to see and do in Lisbon, as well as being central to public transportation.
The Corpo Santo is the perfect hotel in every way - it will certainly be out first choice when we we return to Lisbon.
