InterContinental Marseille - Hotel Dieu, an IHG Hotel

Our stay at this magnificent location was everything and more than we could have expected. Very efficient staff.. polite. Our room 115 had access to a very quiet and peaceful courtyard adorned with sunshine and shade. Breakfast was served inside or out with a magnificent view of Notre Dame. Honestly well worth it's 5* reputation and worth the money for our week's visit to this most wonderful city.

The reception staff were very friendly, however I strongly advise not to order room service while staying here. The kitchen staff don’t listen to you when making your order (resulting in several mistakes to your order) and more frightening is that your order arrives uncovered. Even without the pandemic, it’s disappointing to receive cold food that may have been tampered or breathed upon during the transit to your room.

The worst 5 star hotel I ever been to! I booked 2 night for nearly 1000€/ per night and still they aren't even able to bring you breakfast. I called reception on this particular morning to understand why they weren't doing their job and they nearly laughed at me. Secondly, they said "ok we will do our job and bring you the breakfast in 1 hour" (I paid for it btw). I have been waiting 2hours more in my room. No breakfast and detestable staff. So I decided to leave the hotel and ask for refund for the next nights I had paid for. I have then been to other 5* hotel on the other side of le vieux port. It was day and night compared to each other. And price were 3x less. So an advice for you folks : if you are willing to try this hotel, never book more than one night (cause you will want to leave next day). Trust me! Experience it by yourself. Building is still wonderful. But people there makes it look like a trap from where you absolutely want to leave as soon as possible and never come-back. This is not what you must expect from the most expensive hotel out there.

Stunning hotel, we loved our stay here over Easter. Great staff, great location just minutes from Vieux Port, breakfast each day was wonderful, extremely comfortable beds.
