Very pleasant stay
I spent 2 nights at the Bellevue Palace Hotel in Bern during a business travel.
The staff is very welcoming, check-in and check-out were very efficient.
The room was not very big, but clean and equipped with every kind of amenity. The bathroom was huge, with shower and bath tub.
Every day the room has been prepared for the night (couverture) and cleaned up in the morning.
Excellent impression overall!

A wonderful night at an iconic luxury hotel
The hotel provides exceptional luxury experience with very comfortable rooms and amenities. But what makes your stay really exceptional is the stellar client service. The service is perfect, personalized, with attention to details and kind smiles at any time. The staff is forth coming, helping you with any requests to make your stay an incredible experience. Everything to experiment Bern in the most spectacular way especially with the breathtaking view over the river. The breakfast offers some traditional Swiss meals (muesli, röstis) as well as a very qualitative range of classical breakfasts. I would highly recommend the Bellevue Palace to anyone visiting Bern!

Birthday bash
It was again a wonderful experience to stay at the Bellevue Palace for our birthday's. We had a great culinary experience in the “Restaurant VUE” in the evening. The presentation and the quality of food were top. The wine we chose embraced the atmosphere. After a beautiful evening with a small birthday cake we went to bed in one of the junior suites. Unfortunately, the flowers ordered didn’t make it to our table. After a very relaxing night we took our breakfast in the restaurant and the choice of food was perfectly adapted to our wishes. Many thanks to Maria for bringing us the champagne and just for being part of a great team. We’ll do this again soon.

Pretty Hotel
Very grand hotel with excellent location in the centre of Bern -- next to Parliament and 5 minute walk for Munsterplatz (New Year Eve Fireworks).

Large room with antique style furniture. Spacious work desk with good range of English language TV channels - BBC, CNBC, Bloomberg & CNN.

Breakfast was extensive. Porridge, Cooked Breakfast (Sausages, Bacon, Egg., Potatoes). Fighting Fit for the rest of the day.

Heated bathroom with Molton Brown toiletries. Housekeeping excellent - They had this magic shoe shine product that brightens your shoes without boot polish getting everywhere.

Hotel very quiet - you could hear a pin drop on the landings. Apples on each floor as per previous reviews.

Mini Bar fully stocked - plenty of tea and coffee. Kettle worked brilliant.

Elegant Hotel Bar & Gin Bar. Discreet photos of well known guests in Lobby - including Prince in 1987. If there had played Take me with U in the lobby bar I would have been on my knees.

Staff attentive and professional. First choice for Bern.

Excellent location
Staff was great and very attentive
We got a free upgrade to a suite with great views of the Aare river and the Alps. The room was spacious and clean. Took some time to get hot water and the shower is combined with the bathtub which is outdated for a 5 star.
Great Gym
We only had breakfast at the hotel. I was expecting more but the food was good.
All in all good experience but pricey.

Bellevue is perfection.
I spent one unforgettable night in Bellevue this week with my boyfriend. From start to finish, we felt extremely welcomed and all the staff we encountered treated us attentively and professionally.

Hotel Room: Just walking into the hotel already gives you this feeling of pure luxury from the beautiful and traditional style and interior design. This was reinforced by our Deluxe Suite. The room was spacious and the view of the City was spectacular. Everything was completely up to date. The marble bathrooms gave a nice modern touch while still totally remaining in the theme of classic/traditional luxury.

Gin Bar: Before our dinner, we sat in the lounge where a friendly server asked us what kind of gin cocktail we were looking for and immediately created something special (which was great, as we both didn’t feel like making a decision). The gin was among the best I ever had. The server explained everything in great detail which really added to the experience. We also received two appetiser plates in Ceviche-style (one was tuna and the other possibly pork), it was light and perfect with our cocktail.

Dinner: We had a 4 courses dinner. This time, our server from the bar was assisted by a young charming woman. They took their time to explain everything. Our favourite dish was the beans. One would not expect a variety of beans to be something very special… but it was!

All in all, incredible experience and we shall be back!
Thank you Bellevue team!

Such a beautiful and refined hotel! It's been my second visit and it's still one of the most impressive addresses in Switzerland when it comes to luxury travel, its history - as the official guesthouse of the Swiss Confederation - is truly unique. A big thanks to Mrs Heim for the beautiful room and to Mrs Ludwig for the nice show-around. Happy to return soon again!

Absolutely breathtaking location. Old classic building, beautifully decorated and furnished. Very nice dining rooms. The food is pretty good and nicely presented, but slightly missed my expectations. The service was friendly and professional but again not on the level I came to expect from a pricey 5* place. The "extra mile" was kind of missing, to be fair it could be due to corona induced improvisation and replanning. I would recommend if you're ready to close your eyes on some minor issues.

We visited the hotel bar the other day for a quick drink. The place is classy, with friendly service, sophisticated atmosphere, and excellent drinks. Check out the very large selection of gins. We ordered cosmopolitans which were done just perfect. The prices match the 5 star hotel experience, so be prepared.

The place to stay in the capital, Bern, if you can afford it. Classic grande dame with an old-world flair, a great gin bar, and good cuisine. Also the correct venue for lobbying and events, it’s right next to the House of Parliament (Bundeshaus) and the executive offices. The main hall is notable and worth stopping by for a coffee or a glass of wine from the Bielersee.

Description

The hotel of the Swiss government with a history extending back 150 years - The BELLEVUE PALACE is the only grand hotel in the heart of the capital. The magnificent salons, the grandiose vista of the Bernese Alps and the warm hospitality make this luxury hotel so unique. It has always been a meeting place for politicians and diplomats, it featured in John le Carre's spy novels, and it is also a casual meeting place for the whole of Berne. La BELLE VIE au BELLEVUE PALACE.
