Fabulous
We had a wonderful stay at DO & CO. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left they couldn’t do enough for us.

The Bar - It’s very popular (Fridays/Saturdays especially) due to the gorgeous decor and spectacular view of St Stephen’s Cathedral from the huge windows. This means you will need to book a table. We didn’t reserve and yet the manager made sure there was space for us. The cocktail menu is extensive, but if you just can’t decide the barman will ask you what kind of thing you like and surprise you. You definitely won’t be disappointed!

The Restaurant - It is considered one of the best in Vienna, and I would have to agree. You need to book.
The menu is eclectic and extensive. It includes fantastic sushi (a speciality of the restaurant) / traditional Viennese / steaks / Middle Eastern / Chinese and Thai / French. It sounds like it would be weird and almost impossible to do all of those things well but I assure you, they do.
I had crispy shrimp covered in spicy yuzu mayo with truffle salad. Delicious! I then had the Soho platter which was fantastic. My husband had the same starter, followed by a slow braised veal cheek with goose liver and pomme purée. It was so rich and unctuous. Very impressed. We didn’t have space for dessert but we did see them and they resemble those that you would see at any high end restaurant. We will definitely be eating here again.
To drink - I suggest you stay local and try the Sekt and Austrian wines. If you need some guidance as to what to choose for your taste ask the waiters who are extremely knowledgeable.

The Room - We arrived to find bottled water, a welcome note and two delicious apricot filled doughnuts.
Large bed (although it appears to be two pushed together) which is comfortable enough if you keep to your own side. Adequate duvet as the room is climate controlled. One criticism would be the pillows which are flat and not especially comfortable. It won’t affect your sleep but they aren’t great. Cute turn down service each evening where they replenish your water and leave Demel chocolates on your pillows.
The bathroom is nice enough. Underfloor heating, slippers, robes, hairdryer and toiletries all provided. Powerful rainfall shower and separate lavatory.
Amenities - There are two ‘mini’ bars in the room. One provides all of the red wines, spirits and non-chilled goods (including snacks) and the other is for chilled items. There is no Nespresso machine / tea and coffee facilities which I did find inconvenient. I would expect this in a five star hotel (and there is certainly room for a Nespresso machine on top of the chiller mini bar). It’s not good enough to have to order room service every time you would like a coffee. Having said that, the room service is incredibly prompt.
View - None. Our room looked on to an internal courtyard of other rooms. Other rooms obviously have views.

Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. We had a wonderful time and the staff were so warm and welcoming - truly lovely people. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back or recommend this to friends and loved ones.

different and pleasant surprise
Having a special meeting in Vienna we have been booked in the Do&Co hotel by the company that invited us. The hotel has a great approach towards hospitality, genuinely friendly and helpful staff always ready to help. Design of the hate is very surprising and is unique. The rooms very comfortable and complete. Location can't be better right in the heart of the city.

Nothing else than respect for the staff and its management. A place to go back and enjoy the city.

Last but not least the restaurant is fantastic !

Location location location
Don’t’ be surprised as you are entering the building, it looks like a Club with security staff but the Reception is on the 6th floor.
The lobby is small a bit hidden behind the Restaurant desk and clerk.
On a Friday evening it was busy and noisy for the Bar and Restaurant but the hotel receptionist was nice and took us to our bedroom, just few steps away. I was concerned about the noise but the doors are soundproof.
We had a little corner view on the cathedral and it was delightful.
The location is fantastic, walking distance to everywhere including the CAT (city airport train service in 16 min)
The breakfast is expensive (35€) so we took it at Aida, a konditorei right outside the hotel for a quarter of the price.
The bedroom was very comfortable, stylish and well equipped.
The bed linen were not properly ironed and a panel fell off on my feet. We left it on the floor to show the housekeeping and when we got back it was not glued and fell off again. Some panels are stained.
The mini bar is mainly alcohol, wine beers champagne even Cognac and complimentary water (still and sparkling, replaced everyday) but no kettle, tea or coffee. I asked for tea which was promptly delivered with no milk or sugar. Gladly I haven’t been charged for that.
The receptionist/concierge/ luggage staff are nice and helpful.
So overall it’s a nice hotel which could improve and in a perfect location.

I like Do&Co
This was my second time at Do&Co and I enjoyed it as much as the first. A great central location, very nice rooms and public areas and excellent service. Hard to pick fault.

I especially like the bar and restaurant. Very pleasant to sit in either and enjoy the view across the square to the cathedral. On this visit, and for the first time, I had dinner in the restaurant and very much enjoyed a selection of sushi. The breakfast, incidentally, is also to be commended.

The rooms, like the rest of the hotel, are modern in style. A decent size and very comfortable. Well equipped bathrooms; no bath but an excellent shower.

The hotel is not super convenient for taxis, you have to take a short walk on arrival and departure. However, it is a short walk and on departure we were cheerfully escorted to the pickup point with two porters carrying our bags. They waited with us until it arrived.

Not a cheap hotel - to stay or eat in - but I felt it was actually good value.

Good hotel
I was expecting the worst of this hotel due to the location which frighten me that will be pure touristy and I was absolutely trilled with the choice we’ve made after arriving, not that the location is in ZERO Zone of Vienna, steps away of anything you look for, the hotel is amazing, spacious room with all modern updating touches, great bed, perfect breakfast with one in a million view, great bar, excellent services, highly recommend!!!!!

Mr. Glenn
Hi,I just wanted to leave a note for other travelers. We stayed at Do & Co in October 2018. Although the room was nice, and very centrally located, the service was not.

The Front desk is on 6th floor and the staff was not very helpful. We asked them to reserve a table for us and they never did. Two women at front desk were not very friendly or helpful. They told us they would call restaurant when it opens at 11:00AM and then call me on my cell to confirm. Never heard from them and we made other plans anyway.

On another night we went to the hotel restaurant for a light meal and the women said you have to have three courses to eat there. We ended up having snacks at the bar one level down.

The attendants were very nice and helped us with our bags and with the lights in our room.

Check out is awkward. We went to 6th floor from third floor and they asked us for converter right away, not “how was your stay?” Or any niceties. I went back to room to get Converter and missed magda coming back down to the room.

Door to hotel is open at night as there is only elevator on first floor.

It’s in the cereal shopping district and I think during Christmas season it must be very beautiful with the chandelier lights and trees.

Sorry, we was hoping for a better experience. Stay somewhere else.

Nice hotel. Great location. Bad service
This hotel should get five stars, but the service was rough. The front desk staff is just not all that customer friendly. Also, zero benefit to having an SPG Platinum Premier status. Only acknowledgement of my status was to remind me as I was checking in that I get no benefits. Then I had to check out a bit later than the standard checkout time. Not only did I not get a late check out, but I was charged for an extra half day because I checked out at 3:00pm. I was also charged 35 Euros for a breakfast I did not have. When I flagged it, the lady at the front desk asked me if I had coffee at breakfast (I didn’t). She finally took off the charge, but the experience was unpleasant. It’s too bad, because it’s a really nice hotel.

For c.€300 a night - very disappointing
If you're looking for a hotel with a great location in the centre of Vienna, right on Stephansplatz, then this is the hotel for you. You can also look forward to: intermittent/unreliable wi-fi in your room, no guarantee of a hot shower during peak times (3 times during our five day stay the water was tepid), the rooms could be cleaner in the nooks & crannies, limited reserved seating to guests in the small lounge during the day and little chance of a seat late at night as the locals and non-hotel patrons take over this hot spot for deafening beat music (have a night cap elsewhere), no guarantee your room will be made up by 4pm unless you ask nicely AND an average breakfast for two will set you back €70 – better off stepping outside and turn right, and 20 yards to Café de L’Europe where a comparable breakfast will cost you less than half as much. And, if you have the temerity to ask to speak to the manager about a complaint , it’ll take two days before you’ll be granted an audience by which time you’ll have lost the incentive to complain. At least the view is decent.

Great location quirky room
Right in the Stephensplatz part of Vienna and next to the metro this hotel is a great location and fab base for all the sights in Vienna. View of the cathedral from our hotel room and lots of great restaurants and cafes nearby. The shower was a glass cubicle in the centre of the room which was quirky. We didn't eat here and the bar was popular with non residents so always rammed. The hotel reception is on the 6th floor and the hotel entrance is a small dark lobby between 2 shops. But the hotel room itself was comfortable and spacious. Great base for sightseeing in Vienna.

The Good:
Absolutely fabulous location right on Stephensplatz. Just outside the front door to the left is a lift down into the U-Bahn that can quickly take you anywhere in the city. Funky hotel with the lobby and an Asian restaurant up on the 6th floor. Good security because you need a room key or a pass from the front desk to get to the main European restaurant on the 7th floor, the bar on the 8th, or the rooms on 3, 4, and 5. Restaurant food very good, a bit pricey, but not over the top.
The Bad:
Staff were always cheerful and acted attentive, but didn't always follow through. And despite numerous contacts over seven days with the front desk staff, they never remembered our name or room number. There's no coffee machine in the room to start, but they provided a Nespresso and capsules right away after we requested one. Asked for decaf capsules, and they promised they would send them right up. No decaf capsules appeared until the very last day we were there - and in the meantime I had gone out to the nearby Nespresso store and bought some. On another occasion, they promised to order a pedicab to take us to the Hofburg Palace - never arrived, so we walked and were almost late for the Spanish Riding School show. One late afternoon when we tried to make a restaurant reservation, they said they were fully booked but could squeeze us in at 7:30p if we promised to be done by 9p. No problem, but when we arrived for dinner, the staff in the restaurant had no clue about fitting us in and had to call the front desk. They want to be a 5-star hotel, but they really need to improve their service to get there. It's fine to be cheerful, but they also need to be effective. Two last things: the breakfast is not included in the high room price, and is VERY expensive (minimum 30€ for two for pastries, coffee, and juice). And there are steps inside the "city view" double rooms to get from the bedroom to the bathroom area - they should warn you about that because they're difficult if you're someone who gets up in the middle of the night

We changed our Reservation numerous times since March 2020 and each re-booking was met with professionalism, understanding and heart. BIG thank you to the amazing Jana Jochmann who not only amended our reservation but re-booked our limo transfers too.
This was our third stay at the Do&Co hotel and in the gorgeous, one of a kind Deluxe Suite. The view is stunning, overlooking Stephansplatz and my favourite Cathedral in all of Europe, St.Stephens.
It's such a sleek, sophisticated space. From the white leather furniture, to the the wrap around window seats, to the amazing gold onyx bar, it's modern luxury at its best.....and even while you're in doors you feel part of the local environment. You're still a witness to all the activity.

It was a very warm welcome back to our gorgeous suite. We were thrilled to find a Sacher Torte, Champagne, Flowers, Chocolate and Gummy Bears in Champagne glasses, large bottles of Still and Sparkling Water and a lovely welcome home note from the Manager and Jana (she remembered my love of Demel chocolate and how cool is that) The best part is the water's, chocolate and gummy bears were replaced daily....loved this!
This is an amazing hotel, in a phenomenal location and with a superb staff. We are booked to return June 2022.

Incredible Experience
I stayed in this hotel during the month of May for 5 nights. This has been by far one of the best hotels that I have stayed.
It is right in the middle of Vienna - with amazing view, walking distance to the best restaruants and cafes.
The hotel service and personnel were great.
The hotel restaurant and lobby (on the top floor) with city view, great food, and lovely wine list.
If you are staying in Vienna, this is an amazing location with unbelievable service.

Iconic Building, Great Location, but Overpriced
It is an architect designed (Hans Hollein) building in a marvellous central location, opposite the Stephansdom, and within walking distance of many of the marvellous sights of central Vienna and close to authentic cafes and restaurants. The front of the hotel is a curve glass wonder, though our room 410 was at the back over an internal featureless concrete yard. It had a shared balcony but no chairs on the balcony, and there were uncleared cigarette butts on the balcony floor, which we thought came from the builders working in other rooms.
It was a so called jacuzzi room. The jacuzzi worked well and was great fun the first time. If you like jacuzzi every time this room could be for you. There was also a good shower room. The bathroom sink was a modern glass bowl which was difficult to avoid splashing and the plug was missing. The shampoo and other bathroom condiments were not replaced when expired.
Storage facilities for clothing were totally inadequate for this level of hotel. There was only one suitcase space and poor hanging space. Double rooms are used two people with two small cases and there was only place to put one case. One entire wall was taken by a large display bar, with wine spirits etc. A small inadequate amount of carafe water was provided. There were no kettle or coffee/tea making facilities. Electric plug facilities were clumsy and inadequate. We felt room cleaning was adequate, not excellent.
The TV was modern and worked well. The bed and bedding was comfortable and we slept well. We were aware of a hum from an air conditioning machine in the internal yard but this did not disturb.

The entrance to t his hotel is not appealing. On the ground floor one walks past a food counter to the hotel lift. Hotel reception is 6th floor, and hotel rooms are on 3re to 5th floor. There seemed no convenient place to sit outside the room.
The ground floor of the building is occupied by shops and other business.
Out price for 4 nights in late April 2022 was €1,080 room only (€270 per night).
We did not have the breakfast which we felt overpriced, but there are other good cafes very near.
We feel a fair price for the 4 nights would be €800.
This hotel is described as 5 star. Based on room facilities, and the lack of common areas we feel it should be 4 or 3 star.
We recommend and agree with the tripadviser review by jvtravelerParis dated Nov 2021 which states this hotel needs to get its act together in order to charge this level of prices. It is obviously a chain hotel run by managers of various levels and not by an owner manager.
Alas, we feel we would be reluctant to stay again at these prices.

Nice experience
Nice hotel but too modern for my taste. The hotel is not so clean but the staff is very good and they are trying to please the guests. The hotel is in a very central area and you can enjoy the advantages of being near the central area of Vienna. The food was very nice (room service). I recommend it if you love modern type of hotels.
