I could not have picked a better hostel in Bern. First experience in a hostel and it was incredible. The lady at the reception desk was incredibly hospitable. The chef waited for me after my late check in to make sure I ate! He was also very very friendly. The rooms were very clean. Lots of space on the main floor to chill. Nice big lounge to relax in as well. Very very good price for the location and quality of everything from food, to cleanliness to service! I will be recommending this to friends and consider coming back here as well next time I visit Switzerland!

A really nice place!
Rooms are good! An adequate size with a sink and four big safes that lock with the card. My complaints would be that the rooms don’t include a toilet, you have to walk through the corridor to go to the toilet or to shower. The building is great, outside there are games like chess and ping pong you can play. Inside, there’s a little spot where you can read or watch movies. The canteen surprised us with how many choices and options it had, definitely a luxury! Although the first day there was a mess up with the food as the potato mash was way too salty, the other days the food was delicious.
The placement is great as it’s just minutes away of berns center, but… you gotta love stairs!

Ok stay. Pros: 1. Beautiful location, in front of a park and river. 2. Also close to main attractions. 3. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. 4. Staff are helpful and friendly. Cons: 1. Maybe I was unlucky, but it got noisy during my stay. 2. The booking confirmation email says that we can take the buses Libero 100/101 from the train station. I took 101 and ended up at the wrong place (had to get off and walk back). My advice is walk from the train station if you don't have a lot of luggage. It's a 15 min walk mostly going down (the hostel is in the lower part of the city).

I had to check in late due to a very late bus; the staff were incredibly helpful and understanding; and the night staff stayed on the phone with me to provide directions which I greatly appreciated. Rooms are simple and clean, the female dorm had plenty of space. Lockers available in the rooms. Luggage room available before and after checkout, with optional paid lockers for valuables. Breakfast is included, and while others have said it’s lacking, I disagree. There were plenty of options available, juice, and even dairy free milk (rare for other breakfast buffets in Europe). I have been to other breakfasts that are paid for 4-10 euro at some hostels with less provided.
They also provide you with a daily transportation ticket for public transport, including the funicular up the hill!
The price is very reasonable for Switzerland (Switzerland is expensive in general, if the price of the hostel bothers you I recommend you avoid Switzerland all together lol. To me, it is beautiful and worth the price of visiting).
