Holiday Inn Gdansk - City Centre, an IHG Hotel

Place itself is ok, I had attempted to plan a surprise for our arrival with some champagne and strawberries and had such a long process just to get this arranged and once this was done the front desk messed up the whole surprise by giving wrong room keys to the other couple with us! Also despite the amount being deducted from my card for the surprise the same day we arrived, they asked again for payment at checkout and discussed the price with my girlfriend despite being told in email not to do this!!!!!! Complaint was made when we got home and we were told that they did everything correct and that the staff were correct. Nice location but don't look for anything other than a basic service.

During our multiple trips to Gdańsk we always choose the neighbouring Puro with very good rooms and even better customer service. But at some point we decided to check the competition and our choice was the Holiday Inn Gdańsk. And that was our mistake. Unfortunately last moment we had to change our plans. I spent hours to get in touch with the right person hoping to re-schedule the visit, and when finally connected, it was not possible (as the booking was done via Hotels). I was recommended to reach out to the Hotels and deal with them, so I did. Hotels.com offered to contact the hotel and ask if they agree for change in booking. After two days of waiting for Holiday Inn response it was obviously negative. My customer service experience from the competition is much more positive. I hope the hotel will be happy to have this single night fee as it is the only money I will ever spend in this hotel chain!

We had an excellent stay! It was New Year's Eve so we didn't expect quiet but we were surprised how sound deadening the windows were! Couple difficulties we had were * not being able to put English subtitles on the tv and * possibly left our bluetooth speaker in the room (that's on us tho).   SkyBar was beautiful with a great view. Drinks were tasty.

Very good location. Staffs talk English fruently. Breakfast is fine. Good quality and price. 70 for adult. Children free. Room is fresh and large. (One queen bed room with sofabed and caal view)enough for four people. Bathroom is also fresh. Very small mini mart is 1min from hotel. Many restaurants nearby. From the airport takes 20min and 100pln by taxi during night time. Just a minus is soffabed is very hard. No extra matress on soffa. I prefer hard matress but too much even for me. Bedmake was not done on our late arrival so usually they have something more on a hard soffa. Anyway kids sleep well so I don't ask to hotel about it. Totally very nice stay and satisfied.
