Diamond Hill Country House

Excellent value, located just outside Waterford city, so very quiet and a fine base if driving in the area. Breakfast was really good too. A great old-fashioned b&b experience with a welcoming helpful owner.

I wouldn't really put in such a bad review but, when we first arrived at 4pm the person greeting us smelled strongly of alcohol, then when we were taken to our room it was cold and damp with condensation on the inside of the window. There were cob webs and spiders in corners of the room and it smelled damp.i wouldn't return to this neglected old b+b and i certainly wouldn't recommend booking here. When i went walking the next morning i noticed the building had plastic sheeting pulled up over the roof. The staff seemed nice enough and the breakfast was ok but the whole place needs a bit of TLC.

Stayed in diamond hill for a few months for work and the place became a home away from home. The staff couldn't go more out of there way to make myself and other staff feel at home, Liz and Benny making great breakfasts each morning,  took an interest in all customers to make sure they had the best stay. Rooms were spotless and cleaned every day. Couldn't speak higher of the place and I will be sure to call again when in the city.

We had a great experience in this hotel. Staff were pleasant, rooms were very clean and spacious and the breakfast provided was excellent. The area is very nice too. Overall we had a lovely experience here and would 10/10 stay again or recommend it to a friend. Thank you Diamond Hill !
