Beautiful hotel
We stayed 3 nights in this wonderful tranquil hotel right in the middle of Rome. Perfect location for sight seeing, eating and shopping.
From the moment of our warm welcome arrival until the afternoon we departed we were made to feel very appreciated The staff were so charming.
The lounge and bar areas are stunning. The bedrooms are just so hotel chic
Nothing was too much trouble.
Make sure you have the chocolate martini!

Superb.
Perhaps as this classifies itself as a “boutique” hotel, our expectations were muted. This could go some way to explaining why two difficult, cynical customers were quite so blown away! But we were!
A seamless check in process led us through a stunningly designed entrance hall and lobby, graced with Massimo Listri pieces, up to our (small but) fantastically designed and appointed room. A good lesson in interior design for any aspiring hoteliers!
As is likely to be the case for most people in a city with so much to see and do, we were pushed for time; on arrival, exit and in between. As such, our demands on the hotel staff, in particular the concierge, heightened materially. They more than delivered. A rarity and absolute pleasure seeing someone genuinely share your sense of urgency, yet in a calm an assertive manner deliver quick effective solutions. Bravo!
We didn’t manage to eat in the restaurant itself, but tried various snacks on a couple of occasions which were absolutely delicious. Leading us to regret not finding the time to eat at the hotel restaurant. We will certainly be back!

Outstanding hotel
Stayed here only for one night pre-cruise and booked it with program points. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff is wonderful. The check in is seamless while enjoying a glass of Prosecco. The hotel is luxurious but not pretentious at all. The room that we stayed in was small for North American standards but the normal for European standards. I personally find small hotel rooms more cozy so I had no issue.
The breakfast in the morning was also very good and with options for every dietary restriction.
A place to go back to for sure
Thank you Fernando for all of the restaurant suggestions.

Great spot for Honeymooners
My husband and I stayed at JK Roma as a part of our honeymoon in Rome. We thought the hotel had beautiful design, friendly staff and great food/ambiance. We were welcomed into our room with a nice bottle of champagne and snacks too.
The hotel is centrally located so very easy to walk anywhere. One day we decided to explore and found many cute shops/restaurants nearby.
The staff was very helpful as well. My husband and I did some shopping and wanted to send back home, the staff was very quick to help and got everything taken care of. When we arrived home, everything was safely shipped. My husband also wanted them to schedule a beard trim for him and they did that with no problem.
I highly recommend JK Roma for a special occasion or visit to Rome!

A beautifully designed interior with super staff
We stayed two nights in Rome at the JK Place.
Whilst we enjoyed the design of the hotel (below) we’d have to say that the staff were superb, very professional and friendly and make us want to return.
The design of the reception, foyer and resturant is very well considered, the elevator is hidden discreetly behind a timber and glass door.
The room was beautiful, stocked with fruit and drinks, snacks and a free (non-alcoholic) minibar.
The bathroom was very well hidden behind timber panelling.
JKPlace’s breakfast wouldn’t quite come out as first on my list (reserved for The Europe hotel in Killarney,Ireland) but I would regard it as at the upper end of what I would have encountered in Mainland Europe with a reasonable selection of cooked and cold breakfasts.

Sublime hideaway in central Rome....the best of the best!
We just returned to New York after spending 6 nights at the JK Place. Although I travel a tremendous amount, I rarely write hotel reviews but feel driven to report on this superb 30-room hostelry in a perfect location midway between the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon/Navona neighborhoods. From the monent we arrived to the (very sad) time of departure, we were thrilled to be a guest at this 5-year-old hotel situated in a former school of architecture. The experience felt like living in an ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST cover populated by kind, helpful, and charming staff.

Every tiny detail was impeccable. Imagine that I can now say that I have eaten the best cheeseburger of my life (grass-fed Fassona beef from Piemonte) at a hotel in Rome!?? I do not think I've ever devoured a more lavish and delicious breakfast (French toast is a champion!). To Kelly, Gianni and Carla, and all of the other restaurant staff who served us---we are in your debt!

Concierge service was excellent: Gianmarco, Marco, Ania and others whose name I never knew: You guys are terrific! I found my Senise peppers (at Castroni in Prati) thanks to your efforts! You felt llike friends after a few hours and it weas a pleasure to be in your company.

Housekeeping: Vanessa and your compatriots..always replenishing the complimentary snacks basket and complimentary mini bar with the treats we like--pretzels and lemon soda and chinotto above all!! Love those velvety slippers and the Israeli bath products. And who knew that a Simmons pillow-top mattress could produce such divine dreams!?

Rooms are not large, views are not photo-worthy. But look around you at the decor in every single inch of this hotel. Have you ever visited a hotel with more stellar design?
Interesting to the last centimter, from the Taschen books filling the shelves to the velvet sofas with contrasting piping in the elevator and in the restaurant...to the objets d'art placed with such style throughout the public spaces...

JK Place: From now and forever, you will be our home away from home in Rome.

Room # 5 very unacceptable
We just checked in at 2:00 were told our room wasn’t ready. That’s ok we were also told we were upgraded to a larger room. Well, not sure how small our original room was, but you can barely maneuver our room it’s so small!! Our view is a garbage area with homeless people changing clothes. We requested a larger room (we of course were willing to pay) and was told there wasn’t any. They’re always are rooms , I got the feeling that they wouldn’t compromise.
Very disappointed in this hotel. Think twice before you get drawn in by the pictures and the fact that it’s shiny and remodeled!!

Outstanding
We spend hours researching Hotels with our criteria being contemporary boutique, and when we decided to visit Rome we were delighted with our choice of JK Place. The hotel exceeded all our expectations and whilst not ideal if you are on a budget any discerning traveller could not be disappointed with this hotel.
The fixtures and fittings, bedrooms and public spaces were of the highest quality. This quality extended into the Cafe/ Restaurant and whilst not classed as fine dining it is a relaxing dining destination with a comfortable laid back atmosphere with the food being delicious and well presented.
The staff were exceptional, professional and available to fulfill your every need and a clear asset to the hotel.
We benefitted from a room with a terrace which enhanced our holiday experience. Breakfast was a delightful experience with a very good buffet and cooked breakfast to order.
The Hotel is conveniently located some 5 minutes from the Spanish Steps, ten minutes from The Trevi Fountain and with easy access to The Collesium and The Vatican.
This hotel made a good holiday into an exceptional one.

Blissful perfection
From start to finish, they do it right. They spare no expense. Welcomed with a sit-down in the lobby area with a drink and snack, no credit card details, all handled seated, and the receptionist simply would not let herself be moved into covering such tawdry details as credit cards...I love the style. This is a small detail that was handled very well to give us a welcoming arrival and a feeling of home vs. a hotel. It's a very Millennial friendly style, or anyone with high expectations for the quality of their precious leisure time, frankly.

We were upgraded to a Deluxe room (booked Superior) without asking, which is a lovely touch. Room had a large bathroom, and a separate walk-in closet, such a crazy luxury for Rome.

Minibar items - everything in the room from drinks, wine, snacks, -- is all included and complimentary, and refilled in both the morning and turndown services, so you can never run out of treats. It's so thoughtful of the hotel to decide this, a small expense for them, which is more than adequately compensated to them by the room rates, but which the guests will remember and enjoy to an inordinate degree, I think.

The room is stylish and well decorated, cozy, everything is highest quality possible. You will feel ensconced in luxury. Housekeeping did full service twice a day, spotlessly and without error - phone cards recoiled every time, hairdryer always back in its place with coiled cord, they get everything right, and they do it every time.

Breakfast is good & included. The service is superb for breakfast. We never wanted for anything to be refilled or offered something else. The selection on "buffet" is quite small, but that's due to hotel being small...it could be really wasteful if they put out a big spread. The small buffet is more than compensated by hot menu items on offer, also included, as well as a basket of pastries that will be brought to your table (and could get seconds, I suppose). They do a great American coffee delivered in its own pot as seems to be customary at fine Italian hotels, we sometimes had to get two pots each (shameful American coffee hogs...hehe). Love the lack of a check for breakfast, too.

Tip - if you are a lighter sleeper, ask not to face the street. We faced the street (Room 9) and mostly it was fine, could hear occasional cars go by, or if a few folks sat outside at the restaurant across the tiny street, we could hear their laughter if they were loud. Given that it was a free and unrequested room upgrade though, I wasn't interested to request any room changes.

I do want to give tiny recommendations for improvement - would love to see:
- more diet/non-sugar soft drinks in the minibar
- consider providing a bar of soap for the shower (Americans like bar soaps vs. bath gel for showers)...we just brought the bar soap from counter into our shower
- since the hotel provides all toiletries except the hand bar soap in large unremovable dispensers, there's no chance to take home a few shampoo etc. to enjoy the scent of the hotel later at home. This is a missed opportunity. Folks like to take a couple of toiletries to remember the hotel later... My suggestion is for the hotel to leave a set of small bottles of the same toiletries, in a small satchel, in each room on the last night's turndown service - that way, the guest can take it home to enjoy. It's also a reminder to book the hotel again! Also, the finest hotels I've stayed in do not provide the bulk unremovable toiletries, and it could come across as a little bit "institutional" - what JK provides are high-quality products made in Italy but just in large bottles, which I assume reduces waste. But again, providing the small bottles as a take home gift on the last night would be an ideal way to have your cake and eat it too.

The hotel is light on facilities, as you'd expect, as it's so small. Don't miss the library off the restaurant - I always wanted to look around in there, and I always forgot to do it. The restaurant is wonderful. The rooms are impressive and comfortable. Lobby is inviting. Staff very accommodating. I really had to think hard for any areas for improvement. It seems to me this is the absolute top of Rome accommodations and I would love to stay here again...look no further!

Excellent staff
This is my second trip to Rome and for a 2 day stay I never thought of booking anywhere other than J.K Place which I’ve read a lot of reviews of ever since it opened. The best thing about this luxury hotel was its location, in the heart of old Rome. Located steps from Via Condotti (luxury brand shopping street) and Spanish Steps. Close to Trevi Fountain and really about anywhere that’s really worth a visit is within walking distance.

The hotel is expensive but very much worth it! The staff were super friendly and helpful, I’ve never seen this much enthusiastic staff willing to be helpful anywhere in Europe! I came in really early at around 7:30am, so I was expecting to check in later in the day. So you can imagine my joy when after I walked around the old city and came back really tired I found that the room was ready (before actual check-in time. Was grateful for that and for all the assistance I got. The food is great in the hotel. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and also come back to stay here.

If you do come in early before check in time they’ve got a spacious bathroom with shower which is very convenient.

My wife, daughter and I recently returned from a 4 night stay at the JK Roma over the thanksgiving holiday. My wife and I had stayed here before and we knew we had to return when taking our daughter for her first trip to Italy. It certainly lived up to our memories our our first stay here. This is just an excellent boutique hotel in one of the best locations in Rome. The rooms are immaculate with some of the nicest bathrooms I have ever seen. The breakfast and bar in the hotel were excellent - my daughter was thrilled with the options. The fresh orange juice in the morning was particularly memorable. The concierge service was excellent - they helped us secure some of the more difficult restaurant reservations during our stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a world-class boutique hotel in Rome

Truly a divine experience. We just stayed there for our honeymoon. The best hotel we have ever paid for in our lives. Don’t second guess and just book here. It was really hard to find a luxury hotel in Rome that wasn’t stuffy and regal, but more boutique, feels like an extension of home, and romantic — the JK Place Roma is that. Also, huge shout out to Anna and Diego who redefined who hotel staff can be.

Finally, the restaurant was shockingly good - for breakfast of course but also for dinner. We only had dinner there because of our Amex FHR credit, and despite the credit I was reluctant. After all, we are in Rome and I’ve never had a good non-breakfast meal at a hotel. But this was excellent and could stand up to almost any restaurant we went to in Rome. Truly spectacular. Has our highest recommendation!

From the moment you walk in til your last ciao the hotel staff are incredible. No ask is too much and they are all willing to help. We had booked our 20th anniversary trip in 3/2020. Since the initial booking the hotel was incredibly accommodating on several rebookings due to Covid.
Once we were finally in Rome our four nights at JK were perfect. The amenities are plentiful, plush towels, luxurious toiletries (no need to pack your own), turn down service, room service, and there are many more.
Really just a wonderful place to stay and celebrate our love

We’ve just left JK Place Roma after a spectacular three night stay. It may be the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in! The service was extraordinary—gracious and kind without being over the top. The food was simply amazing—clean and fresh and delicious, beautifully presented, and happy to make an accommodation.
The hotel itself is classically and elegantly furnished and appointed, with every accessory additive, the most comfortable furniture, and the most welcoming environment. The staff could not have been better—they are warm and friendly, helpful, and could not be nicer.  We did not have one unsatisfying moment in this hotel! Loved it—if we could we would give it 10 stars!
