The level of service is unmatched!
We thought we knew what luxury was before staying here, but after our time at the Park Hyatt, our standards have been raised substantially. We've stayed with the Ritz Carlton and St Regis properties in the past, but the Park Hyatt far exceeds them all in every aspect.

Julia checked us in at the front desk. The process was quick and efficient. She walked us up to our room and explained how everything worked and answered any questions we had. She was very kind, polite, and dressed extremely neat and tidy. Not a single hair out of place. This hotel has amazing technology integrated into their rooms which greatly enhances the experience. The bed was comfortable and the shower was huge.

The hotel was kind enough to offer us a complimentary upgrade, which we gladly accepted. The inside of the hotel is absolutely amazing. It used to be a bank and so all the architecture was so beautiful and elegant.

The location of the hotel is ideal for all shopping and just steps away from other major sights. We could not have picked a better place to stay. From arrival to departure, we felt like royalty. When we come back, we will not be staying anywhere else except at the Park Hyatt Vienna.

Fabulous location for the Christmas markets
We went to Vienna one weekend for the express purpose of hitting up the Christmas markets, and the location of the Park Hyatt can't be beat! It's within walking distance to 3 of the major Christmas markets (with another one right outside the front door!).

The customer service was very proper and can't be faulted, but it's not particularly warm and friendly. I didn't find this the coziest Park Hyatt-- the lobby was so busy and there were quite a lot of people just kind of sitting around. Maybe they were just taking shelter from the weather. However I must say they do a great job keeping the hotel warm. Despite it being a former bank, you didn't feel the cold weather when walking around.

2 things stood out about the property:
1) The spa was quite nice. I had a lovely massage with Carla, who is remarkably strong and did an excellent job getting the knots out. I highly recommend seeing her if you need a deep tissue massage.
2) The wiener schnitzel in the lounge or via room service is out of this world. Just perfect.

Would I stay here again? Maybe. I wouldn't be opposed to trying another place the next time I return.

Top of the class experience
Great hotel, perfect staff and... Rooms!!!
Totally silent, excellent bed, bathroom also very convenient with awesome shower.
On top perfectly located in the old city.

I just came (the night before) from a four seasons in Istanbul which was super great but the Hyatt in Vienna is really way above.

Nice hotel but falling apart
The hotel has a great location, i checked in all went well but when i went to have a shower the water wont turn hot, had somebody to come and fix it, turned the bathroom floor black, claimed it was working but in the morning when i tried to shower again it would not turn hot. all night there was a sound like something moving in the room and did not let me sleep after waking up three times i figured out it was the motorized window shade in the middle window that was making the noises, so i had to keep the shades open to stop the noise, only to be woken up by the sun in the morning because of the open shades, my worst hotel stay in some time, avoid the hotel its falling apart, if you booked already make sure not to get room 502

The most incredible Birthday

I don’t mind saying that the Park Hyatt in Vienna represents my second home when traveling to this incredible city.

During my second visit in this property on late December the past year for my very birthday on the 28th, I had the chance to confirm again how an amazing location has been matched to world-class service and care to the Guests. From each single piece of the stay you could tell how much effort was being dedicated to make of an already memorable stay, something truly moving.

From the suite to the amazing Concierge Team, through the sumptuous breakfast they serve, I’ll always carry with me the most beautiful memories!

Another wonderful stay at the Park Hyatt
From top to bottom we just had another wonderful stay at the Park Hyatt in Vienna. We ( my husband and daughters) had first stayed there in 2014, and we loved it this time as much as we did then. From start to finish it was a seamless experience, beginning with some exchanges with the concierge team before our arrival who helped us line up a tailor and white tie fittings for the ball we were going to - and who knew the minute we checked in exactly what we needed and where we needed to be, and when. On top of that, the hotel team nicely honored an upgrade offer we had been given after our first stay and gave us a gorgeous suite (bedroom and sitting room) on the 5th floor overlooking the square, with a lovely bathroom that had a picture perfect view over a pretty turret next door. Honestly, I think these are some of the most elegant rooms you can find in Vienna-a perfect merger of grand art nouveau style and modern. Big pluses are those perfect European double windows that open and allow a great view and fresh air - an essential, in my opinion, for any good European hotel worth it's salt. I had a lovely bath with the windows open looking at birds flying over the buildings next door, and pretty to look out the windows in the morning at the snow falling on the walk below. Anyway, I can't think of a more elegant place to hang a ball gown and spend a luxurious weekend. The park Hyatt has now been twice a lovely and relaxing base for our Vienna escapes. We'll be back for sure and send our thanks to the entire hotel team who took care of us so nicely while we were there.

Everything is perfect
Great way for us to finish our stay in Vienna. Great experience on our emails exchange with concierge. Very helpful and proactive. The facilities is very classic and elegant. The building used to be a bank. So some interesting design to turn this into a hotel. Check in was smooth and quick. Room is very elegant and spacious. Nice touches in spreading rose petals in the room for a anniversary celebration. Enjoyed the elegant swimming facilities very much. One complaint is the facilities is not very luggage friendly. There is no ramp at the front door. There is no ramp from check in desk to the elevator.

Comparison of Sacher vs Park Hyatt
I stayed both at Sacher and Park Hyatt during my holiday in Vienna. Here is some of my facts.1) Concierge desk and receptionSacher: Before my trip, I have queried about the museum tickets and dining recommendation to Sacher TWICE with no response to this day. I wonder where those emails went as they were never bounced back to my inbox... Park Hyatt: After nothing's heard from Sacher for 2 weeks, I thought maybe Park Hyatt might be able to help me (I felt bad because I was staying at Sacher longer than Park Hyatt) and emailed exactly the same email. The reception instantly came back to my email that he has forwarded the email to concierge, then the concierge came back to EVERY single questions I had on museum tickets and restaurants recommendation - that was done in less than an hour from the time I sent them.2) Checking inSacher: While I came in at little passed 13:00 directly from the airport, Sacher did not let me check in until a bit passed 15:00. So I had to stay at the expensive bar. Plus they had this very tiny room which they said was a "upgrade" from superior to deluxe room. I cannot imagine the room smaller than that but oh well...Park Hyatt: I arrived at Park Hyatt a bit passed 12, which I know was too early - but they had a room ready instantly at 12. How nice to be able to check in and relax. The room we got was very nice, spacious, clean and very new feeling.3) In room diningSacher - The welcome fruits and sacher torte cake were a nice gesture. Also, their portion of breakfast plates were generous but the goulash soup was too salty I had to add water...which I still was not able to finish. Breakfast buffet was lovely though, with sparkling and torte that everybody went crazy for.Park Hyatt: We ordered some breakfast in room - which was very very tiny portion. The taste was good but it just felt that they could do better for the price.

Pure Indulgence
It Is located in the city centre's Golden Quarter, in a former bank building dating back to the early 1900s.

Imagine swimming in a pool which used to be a bank vault. You have to go deep down into the building to reach the spa area and the pool. So inspiring and unusual.

All the super brands including LV and CHANEL were right beside the hotel. And the magnificent Hofburg Palace a five-minute walk.

Dinner in the Bank Brasserie & Bar was a major treat for us. I loved eating in the historical hall of the former bank Am Hof. They served extraordinary cocktails at the Bar too.

We had a luxurious corner room with a separate living area. Housekeeping was timely and efficient.

A real five stars experience

The hotel is beautiful and very impressive. Our room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The hotel overall far exceeded our expectations. It is also perfectly located in the heart of the city centre so it is easy to walk everywhere. We were spoiled for choice when looking to book a hotel for our Vienna stay and I'm so glad we chose the Hyatt. We plan to return again later in the year and we will definitely book the Hyatt.

Exceptional Property and Service. From this stay forward, I will compare all Hyatt experiences to the high bar set by the Park Hyatt Vienna. This handsome property in the heart of the city allows guests to easily walk to the major museums, concert halls, restaurants, and shops. It's like having a private villa in a world-class city.
The restaurant is exceptional with a legendary breakfast buffet. We also enjoyed two evening meals during our 5-day stay and experienced the beautiful bar as well. Restaurant Manager Nadia greeted us by name and made us feel welcome every time we entered the door. Stefano at the concierge desk contacted us before we arrived and assisted with special requests, as did Duty Manager Veronica. This is a Hyatt team that looks after guests above and beyond the call of duty.
Don't miss the spa and sauna located downstairs. We used them every day to recuperate from our walks. Entry is included for free to guests.
As Globalist members, we received a suite upgrade and free breakfasts. We were recognized by name from the moment our car arrived until we were placed into a taxi for the airport return.
We look forward to returning as soon as possible!

Beautiful property—needs some service improvements
Beautiful centrally located hotel with a perfect blend of classic and contemporary design. The concierge staff were exceptional, especially Karim. My only complaint is that the restaurant and cafe seemed grossly understaffed. In addition, I’ve never been rushed out of breakfast before like I have at this property. I’ve stayed at the best hotels of the world and the female maitre’d with glasses actually had the gall to come to each table to notify guests they had to vacate the space at 10:30 am every morning. This definitely cheapens the stay.

It was very good overall. I’d prefer a different room next time.
Liked • Location was fabulous. Food options were good. Staff (front desk and concierge) were incredibly polite, accommodating and attentive

Disliked • Room decor left much to be desired. As soon as we walked in we felt that this property needs a refresh. Bedroom didn’t even have a rug. Kind of sad looking furniture. It felt like a lesser-tier hotel interior. We stayed at other Park Hyatt locations (Paris, Tokyo) that were much much more updated.
Second thing is, though minor, was the service related to only one person at cafe Am Hof. All servers were incredibly gracious and friendly except for this one, who seemed to be a manager or supervisor of some sort. He was not very friendly.

Description

Location
Just steps from the designer boutiques of the Goldenes Quartier, you simply couldn't be more central. Vienna's Innere Stadt (1st district) is brilliantly compact, meaning you can easily reach all of the big-hitter sights on foot. The hotel is just a three-minute stroll from the gilded vaults of Café Central, where Freud, Trotsky and poet Peter Altenberg once drank coffee, played chess and put the world to rights. It's a five-minute walk to the Hofburg (Imperial Palace), crammed with Hapsburg treasures, and the high and mighty St Stephen's Cathedral, and not much further to the grand theatres, galleries and concert halls on the Ringstrasse boulevard. The closest tube station is Herrengasse (line U3).

Rooms
Presenting exquisite décor, unique contemporary design and a sophisticated Viennese atmosphere, our luxurious 143 guestrooms, including 41 suites, make you feel home away from home. Elements of wood, marble and mother-of-pearl welcome you in every room. Relax in a spacious marble bathroom with separate bathtub and rain shower, heated floors, flat-screen TV and exclusive amenities designed by Blaise Mautin.
