Stayed here for the view and was not disappointed. I have a room on the 10th floor 1028, facing the old town and you can see many of Munich's landmarks including the Volksbad nearby. Holiday Inn has a certain consistency and it has all the essentials : good responsive showers, comfortable beds and enough ports for charging (the USB ports are a plus). The hotel doesn't do daily cleaning and you have to request on the eve of the day you want cleaning to be done. I booked a package without breakfast which would cost around 20 EUR if you decide to have it at the hotel. I also grabbed coffee at the bar downstairs which is standard machine coffee costing around 4-5 EUR a cup which is definitely on the pricey side. The mineral water and other items are also pretty pricey. For travelling in a pandemic, there is plenty of automated sanitizer dispensers around the lobby and there is also a conveniently located Corona-testing station by Covidzentrum at the Gasteig a short walk away which is convenient for travellers who need a PCR or ART test before their flight. The service was corporate and average. The staff at the bar was friendly. As a IHG Platinum member, two bottles of mineral water from the mini-bar and two chocolates are complimentary. The information is only being told once at check-in. The location of the hotel is also great. It is connected via underground passageway through a small mall with Rosenheimer Platz Station which is the on S8 line connecting the station to the airport as well as the main station. To get to Marienplatz it is 25-30 minutes walk with all the construction work and traffic lights. There are also plenty of food options around the hotel from artisanal coffee cafes, restaurants serving German cuisine as well as Asian food.
