Mayerling Hotel Madrid

The Mayerling hotel was a somewhat basic hotel, but it was comfortable, clean, conveniently located, safe, & affordable. We enjoyed the 24 hour free coffee and tea in the lobby.
The highlight of our stay was the receptionist, Yansel. He was so friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. He spent time making suggestions and marking places on a map for us. His English was excellent, which made it easy for us (not that I expected this). Thank you Yansel! You do a fabulous job and I would definitely hire you!

Good location, very close to center, restaurants and public transportation.
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
Rooms were rather small and without many amenities. No closet, sink was in the room and not toilet. There was much noise from the street outside during the night. Breakfast was nice but without much variety.
Room was very clean.

Very nice staff, great location, very thorough housekeeping, cool design everywhere- really liked the showers. Had a great view. Air con not working too well and the bed was a very big minus - it would’ve gotten a 5 Star, if it had had a proper queen size bed and not two beds pushed together.

Only stayed one night with my son after visiting Segovia.Very nice hotel.I loved the room .Airy and bright after all the brown hotel rooms!Could not fault the bathroom with the products provided.Lovely staff who spoke great English.Much better than my Spanish .The breakfast buffet looked very nice and free coffee so good.Great location also.
Only one small criticism,roof terrace could be better ,not really somewhere to sit and enjoy a drink.
