Very nice hotel, good location.We spent a weekend at the Opera Hotel in ferbruary. Very nice hotel with all services. Our room (executive) was spacious, clean, with all amenities. Bathroom also very nice and clean.
The breakfast is really impressive.
Be sure to book at the restaurant too as the chef really does know how to cook.
There is a smokers' bar, but you can have your drinks served in the cosy lobby if you prefer.
Very friendly service: restaurant and hotel.

Long weekend in Kiev to visit a friend.Booked in to this hotel by a friend who works in Ukraine.The main plus about this hotel is the helpful, courteous staff who spoke good English,and provided excellent service. The breakfast is extensive with anything you could possibly want on offer. The public areas are grand and impressive.The rooms are slightly tired, but clean and very comfortable with good linen and pillows. The central location is convenient for the underground/shops/restaurants.

World Class HotelThe Opera Hotel in Kiev is absolutely a world class hotel. I had a long overnight layover in Kiev, so decided to pop into the city to stay at an actual hotel. I could not have been more impressed by the Opera.
The location is perfect, right in the upscale embassy district of Kiev. The standard room I booked was large, spotless, and beautifully appointed, and there was a handmade gingerbread Christmas tree waiting for me with a welcome note on the desk (it was Orthodox Christmas Eve when I arrived). The bathroom was also spotless, with great toiletries. The staff at the check-in desk were so sweet and welcoming, and the process was extremely simple.
I also had dinner and breakfast in the Teatro Restaurant. Again, absolutely world class. Incredible Ukrainian food for dinner with a great wine selection. The service was spectacular - they knew what I needed before I even had to ask, and each staff member was extremely polished. I returned for breakfast the next morning, and the staff were different but just as polished. The breakfast is absolutely worth the extra charge; it's one of the best I've ever had in the former Soviet Union (where they take hotel breakfasts very seriously).
Honestly not a single complaint. This will be my new go-to hotel in Kiev.

Luxury in KievIt's one of the most luxurious hotels We stayed in recently, the staff was very polite helpful and super professional helping us with whatever we needed and/or requested, very attentive and caring. The breakfast was amazing with plenty of choices suitable for everybody and again the staff here where very nice and catered very well. the rooms are luxurious big and extremely clean.
Didn't use any of the body treatment available but the Sauna and Jacuzzi are great for relaxation at the end of a loaded day.
We enjoyed every minute of our 7 nights stay and if we were to visit Kiev again this Hotel would definitely be taken into consideration for accommodation.

High level of professionalism in Hotel services!Excellent service with high level of professionalism. Every professionals was always very attentive and polite. Well located, the hotel has very good and comfortable conditions! The best hotel in Kiev without a doubt! The food is very yummy! And the dedication to every need of ours is impressive. A hotel experience that can be a reference in the world!

One of my favorite HotelsMy favorite thing about this hotel is the breakfast. We stayed with our group for 4 nights and by day 2 our waiter, the Captain, would bring our individually preferred drinks to us without even asking. He was absolutely exceptional in every way in terms of the service provided. I've stayed at some of the world's best hotels and this breakfast and the service provided by that waiter tops them all. He was the main reason we were sad to leave.
In terms of the hotel itself, the rooms are comfortable and service is good. The design of the rooms is a bit dated and could use some updating, but for the location, the comfort, and the breakfast, this remains my top choice in Kyiv.
Rooms and bathrooms are large and Molton Brown toiletries are nice. :) I loved taking a bath and relaxing with the Molton Brown scented bubbles.
We were on a 2-week trip through 3 countries and staying at some exceptional hotels, and everyone said this hotel's breakfast was the best by far. I look forward to returning.

Nice building - Horrible beds and mediocre serviceNice building, nice decoration. Plenty of staff, many of them speak good English (a bit rare in Kiev).The rooms are fairly small and but clean and neat.However, the beds where a nightmare. We did complain several times (stayed for 3 nights), and where promised it would be taken care off. (Been having constant back pain since I came back home nearly a week ago).For the price you expect at least mediocre IKEA beds, not something that competes and nearly gets beaten by a park bench.

Excellent short stayFor my first stay in Kiev, this was an excellemt hotel both in location and amenities.
Its a 10 min walk to the nearest metro station or about 20 min walk to the central shopping street.
The staff were all very friendly and kind without exception, the receptionists, bell boys and bar staff.
The bar is a great place to relax in the evening if you dont fancy venturing out and the spa is very quiet. I was the only person using the only person in there on one afternoon.
Food also amazing and cooked fresh, good value too. The way they serve coffee with the little cakes on the side is sweet.
Rooms clean and comfortable and very well cared for. Coukdnt find any milk for tea/coffee in the room was the only thing.
I hope to return to Kiev and if I do i will definitely stay here!

A fantastic 4 nights stayI have stayed in this fantastic hotel for 4 nights. What ever I can say about it will not be enough . Everything was excellent
From reception to rooms cleanliness to food and beverage staff to bar staff to bellmen all were great
Breakfast was one of the best I ever had in a hotel
I recommend this hotel very highly

i realy like this hoteli'v been to this hotel before but every time i get back to this hotel i'm happy, the service is great, the staff is so nice and helpfull - the hotel is nice and beautiful, also you will get a nice and very clean room, and you will have everything you need for short stay.
may be it's not located right in the center - but its close enough even by short walk (or if you are lazy take uber it's very cheap there) and this is also it's upside - the neighborhood is nice and quiet.
this hotel gives you a very good value for you money, and i will probably continue to come back to this hotel in the future.

Nous avons reserve pour 4 nuits. Tres bonne acueil Tous le monde parle anglais. L'hotel est tres bien tenu... je n'aie pas vu une fausse note. Beau meuble, bonne agencement, joli decor... Dans la chambre, tout est bien ordonne, une proprete irreprochable. bonne literie... Eau, cafe, the a volonte. Pour noel, nous avons une attention particuliere avec un pere noel en biscuit et pate d'amande absolument delicieux. Nous avons diner un soir, et franchement tout etait excellent. Bon service, et gentillesse. J'aime beaucoup cet hotel car il n'est pas sterile comme certain hotel plus moderne... bref, nous y reviendrons. Source: tripadvisor

Si bien es cierto que el hotel está un poco anticuado, el tamaño de la habitación, el servicio, el desayuno y la comodidad sí que están a la altura de lo que se espera. Seguramente no está al novel de otros 5* de la ciudad, pero el precio también es mucho más económico, por lo que nada que objetar. La ubicación es algo extraña, puesto que si bien está muy cerca del centro y de la Opera, el hecho de estar en la base de una colina hace que tengas que subir una cuesta muy empinada cada ve que sales del edificio. Opera Hotel is a 20 min walk from the main train station and 10 min walk to the Opera house. Situated in a nice and calm neighborhoodThe hotel has very cozy rooms. They of course come with all normal amnesties, like a tub for this level. Everything clean and comfy
The breakfast is among the most expensive in the city. But their egg Benedict is amazing. The service was excellent. But sadly they don't have 100% control over who ordered what. At checkout they asked us to pay for another costumers breakfast. We explained it was not our bill, and no problem. Still things like this shouldn't happen
