Hotel Alimara Barcelona

I did not have any problems whatsoever at all place was very clean and quiet and restaurant very courteous and helpful, room was very spacious and the toilet was very nice I was very comfortable and wanted to keep coming back to my room to relax. There was heating as it was cold and the room was warm and cozy. Apart from a trainee receptionist who was unprofessional and obviously still learning, all the reception staff were very nice. The manager particularly was very gracious and made sure everything was ok and I was  catered for, very nice  and kind gentleman knew his job and puts customers first  lovely stay overall never had a single worry or concern. Food in the restaurant was nice too  but variety was limited but the breakfast was nice too. Cleaners were very friendly and courteous and eager to clean the rooms.

Pros - The hotel is right at the edge of the city just below Tibidabo Hill. It is easily accessible through public transportation and close to the highway leading to the airport. There is a metro station and a bus stop within 3-minute walking distance. The room was as in the photo. The hotel mentioned the room to be 4 stars however it was closer to a 3-star room. The room was spacious for 2 people. Toiletries were provided. The reception was helpful and stored our luggage for 36 hours after checkout. The breakfast was decent.
Cons – The ventilation in the bathroom did not work which made the other person using the bathroom wait for quite some time. The breakfast could offer more value for the money they charge. The WiFi was not fast enough and could be improved.

Very friendly staff, lots of parking nearby, artisan coffeeshops and a supermarket on your doorstep. I loved the location North of the main city, yes I could run to the sea or the top of the mountains behind in 45minutes or so.there is a nice garden and outside space to relax also.

Hotel is close to metro and bus stops. Staff is abit "forgetful", they left housekeeping key card in our room while we were gone the whole day, so anyone could've come in and taken anything. When we returned the key card, receptionist didn't ask us if anything was missing and didn't even apologize. Also, some days they give you new towels but forget to take the old ones. Rooms are clean but in need for a abit of cosmetic construction.
