Fabulous hotel in a great location. We chose Melia Vienna for our short break and its location is great. Well connected to the centre of the city, there are two metro stops very close by and you can be in Karlsplatz in 15 minutes. We had a fantastic room with a fabulous view overlooking Vienna and the Danube. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, particularly Camille Naufal the head concierge, who went out of his way to help us with a dental emergency during our stay. We chose to stay in one of the “Level” rooms which gave us access to The Level Lounge on the 57th floor. It has outstanding views and is a lovely place to wind down in the evening over some nice local sparkling wine and snacks.

Triple C’s (cozy, comfortable, clean)
Liked:
- Location
- room view
- the level (lounge on the 57th floor)
- electrical adapters are available for a deposit of 25 euros per adapter.
Disliked:
- I couldn’t control the AC’s fan speed, nor could I set the temperature to lower than 21 C. I hope they’d pay attention to this matter as sometimes you need it to be cooler.
- window blinds need to be installed properly, since they don’t completely block the sunlight.

Pleasant stay at the Melia Vienna.
Liked - Great room fantastic decor etc. bath shower was awesome...bar lounge on the top floor, great views of the city. Bar staff especially Murad was super made great cocktails service was very good.
Disliked - Kept being asked for proof of vaccinations...no room service. Kitchen was closed before 22.00 on Friday night...not great especially bar lounge was still open till 1am. Construction next door was noisy. the room was very hot could not turn on the AC.

Need to get better or disappear.
It's been almost 7 years since I last stayed in this hotel, but it seems Meliá hasn't been able to offer a real experience that one would expect from them, and being a platinum member for just over 10 years, I thought that at this time everything would run as smooth as silk. No communication from the hotel whatsoever although we mailed them in advance. Mediocre check in by young girls who don't even know the company's policy regarding perks and compliance. My status nor preferences were not met, besides when I first complained about the room, I was ignored and nobody from the reception did anything to solve the issue. It is impossible to access the The Level lounge on 56th floor if someone doesn't escort you there which means changing elevators and using the key card which many.
