Lovely pub with live music and friendly staff. We found the service to be surprisingly fast for how busy it was in some instances. The downstairs area is really bustling and the upstairs is cozy with great windows for people watching.
We also booked a room above to stay central for our visit to Dublin and were very happy with the decision. We showed up a bit too early for check-in but management was kind enough to hold our bags and made sure that we got in alright when we came back even though it was a very busy night.
Some reviewers complained about the pub music making their room loud but we did not find that to be an issue. It only really got noisy when the pubs began to empty but it’s a central location in Temple Bar and people were laughing and having a good time on their way home - I hardly find that as a reason to complain. I’m sure that a quieter room can be found in the suburbs.
All in all - great pub and comfortable accommodation offering the basics. The only real suggestion that I have for management is to fix a bit of the grout and caulking in the shower but all was great otherwise and would absolutely book a room here again.
