Grand Hotel Plaza

The Grand Plaza Hotel on Via del Corso, Rome

One of Rome’s oldest grand hotels, the Plaza still retains many of its beautiful original features. Built as a private home at the beginning of the 19th century, the palazzo has been an ‘albergo’ since 1860.
The hotel has two bars, the Mascagni Bar and the Lobby Bar (photo), a stunning setting for a drink while out and about.
Parts of Guy Ritchie’s fantastic 2015 film The Man from U.N.C.L.E were actually shot in the Plaza Hotel, the Lobby Bar being transformed into the main lobby.
