Travelodge Waterford

Usual Travelodge experience, with clean room, and friendly staff. Negatives on my stay were some noisy guests near my room keeping me awake until midnight, and then at 4.55a.m. on two days in a row, a lorry visited outside the room window to empty bins loudly, which then woke me up. Positives for me were the Shake Dog restaurant that is next to the hotel serving excellent American themed food, and the meal deal was any main, any side, any shake for €10! and the location of the hotel made for easy access to the local area.

If you are looking for a clean, warm, family room at a very reasonable price, to use for a good nights sleep ,then look no further. But if outdated decor is going to bother you, then this isn't for you. Spacious bedroom, plenty of room between the three beds. 10 min walk from the city centre. For less than a 100e for the night, we will be back again.

Normally I wouldn't give so many stars to such a... Well let's be real here it's a Travelodge! But wow - rooms immaculate. Beds comfortable. Staff are all genuinely lovely, and very covid compliant. Cheap and cheerful for a weekend down to see friends, will definitely be using them again.

Very lovely stay, no food service in Travelodge itself but they have a fantastic diner directly outside connected with a roofed path. The walls aren't the thickest so you may hear a bit of noise but nothing major. And approximately a ten minute drive into the city centre.
