MEININGER Hotel Wien Downtown Franz

Great deal, not far from the center.
Liked - most of the time Im in Vienna, I stay in this hotel. It s clean, newish, close to the center enough and offers all basic needs to stay over night. I return again. YOu can even cook your own meal in the small kitchen downstairs, buy some coffee and drinks at the reception and some snack in a vending machine. I think it also has a parking in. the basement, but not sure if that is free.
Disliked - this time I had some noisy neighbour in the morning, but I think it was even coming from the next building as my room was the last one at the corridor. Also the breakfast only continental, no warm eggs :( otherwise its not bad, I just prefer some more variety and something warm in the morning.

Liked - I liked how the staff played their roles, but I hope they'd know they should work with each other not on each other. I liked the availability of a guest kitchen and utensils, a brunch breakfast....
Disliked - I didn't like that it's advertised to have a pool table but I couldn't play during my stay. If you advertise something, maybe make use of it. I was attracted by the pool table in the advertisement and I'm disappointed that I couldn't be training.

- The staff was very friendly and helpful
- Good breakfast for its price
Disliked:
- The room didn't have a wardrobe and we couldn't hang out our clothes
- There was a lot of noise in the lobby late in the afternoons, when we wanted to just sit there and relax
- We were charged extra for breakfast, from the price that we were told the first day, without notice!!!
- The coffee mugs in breakfast were dirty
- There was construction noise very early in the morning, it was starting at 7:00 and we couldn't sleep in
- During the night, especially on our last night, there was a lot of noise coming from other rooms

Liked - Staff were polite and friendly. They offered directions and instructions without asking. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were cleaned regularly. Common areas were great
Disliked - Location maybe. not connected to public transport. But it wasn't an issue. You can walk around easily.
