Hotel Danieli, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Venice

Hotel is very strategically located. Has very nice interior. The highlight is the breakfast spot at the rooftop. It was just amazing and the services in the restaurants are superb as well. The thing they needed to improve on is the check-in process (very hectic with people lining up instead of being asked to sit down and getting served with some welcome drink). The staff, while not really rude is not as warm as the ones we encountered in the restaurant.

This is my fourth visit to the Danieli in Venice. The rooms are adequate and comfortable and lack modern amenities like proper electrical plugs, all outdated. The housekeeping is below par. I found an unused condom under our bed. Not really expected from a hotel like this. No coffee machine in the rooms. The breakfast on the terrace is fantastic. The room service is efficient but oh so expensive. All in all the position is great the lobby and entrance is special. There is no view from the rooms, they shove you in an annex but who needs a view. The number of tourists during Easter was diabolical so many people. Small irritating things like a broken mini bar fridge, non existent air conditioning, fresh fruit only on the first night. I think, if I am going to spend close on €1000 per night, there should be better value elsewhere.

It was our first time in Venezia. We initially booked only one night but decided we’d want to spend another day here. Giacomo helped us check in and book another night at the same time, his service was outstanding. The view from the room was gorgeous and we enjoyed our stay. Would stay again when making a visit to Venezia.

Great location in a well appointed former grand home on the island of Venice. Easy access to all points of interest, the staff is highly attentive and the dining on the roof top is a great way to start or end the day. Resided in a suite facing the grand canal which proffered antiquities in concert with modern amenities, which made for a memorable experience.
