Santa Claus Holiday Village

Lovely couple experience out of season (May). I rally loved this place, it seems it was Christmas, starting from the cinnamon smell inside the reception ending with Christmas music and shops. Beautiful activities with Husky and reindeer. If you come in this period take care that several places and activities are closed, but you will really enjoy your holiday without people and everything will look exclusive!

When we first saw Santa Claus Holiday Village online, we didn't think the real life experience could match what we saw. But not only did it meet our expectations, it exceeded them! The location is unbeatable - we got picked up by a member of staff from the Rovaniemi airport and were driven directly to our cottage - talk about door to door service! The room was even ready a little early so we got that much more time to appreciate it. We're a couple without kids so we weren't sure how geared towards little ones it would be, but we had a wonderful time as adults and found plenty to do for all ages. Snowmobiling, husky rides, reindeer rides and shopping were all within a short walk - most things were no further than 5 minutes away from the village. It's not one of those igloos that you see all the time, but it was well maintained, cozy, and had everything we needed, including a little porch to hang out on and a sled. Everyone that worked there was extremely nice and made us feel at home. But the best part of all was that we got lucky with the Northern Lights! Seeing the colors dance across the sky over the little red cottages with Christmas trees and lights was an unforgettable experience.

It’s very cute houses and wonderful territory around. But I felt that it’s all made so commercial with Santa visit, kids see how parents pay for the present which Santa gives them, and 25 euro for a small gift which cost less than 5 euros is outrageous. All in all, it’s not worth the money to pay a lot for staying in this hotel, you can find much cheaper and better places in the city and come to Santa village by car, as many people actually did.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! First time there and it was a magical experience for my young children. The only thing stopping me from putting 5 stars is the cost, because it is expensive in the village. However, it doesn't sour the experience and I'd go again.  Recommend the whole tour excursion, where you do a reindeer ride, tobogganing and husky ride in one day. It includes an excellent lunch at the same time. For a great Christmas holiday experience, I highly recommend.
