Unfortunately, a negative aftertaste remains after the stay at the Hilton Rotterdam. On the one hand, the pleasantly perfumed room scent in the corridors and the perfect beds speak of actually a 5 star house. But unfortunately it also stops there. The building is very old and the hotel has no spa area. Of course, I could have read about this in advance on the internet, but for me it does not speak for a 5 star hotel. The hallways along the rooms were partly very dirty and not vacuumed. And the icing on the cake was the breakfast... (See pictures) on a Saturday with 100% hotel occupancy, the breakfast was served by TWO waiters. All tables were full of dirty dishes and were not cleared. Upon request, one had to wait half an hour for the table to be cleaned. The buffet was replenished very slowly, so you sometimes did not get certain products because of the queues. And then the coffee machine broke down. On all inquiries, requests and complaints, the waiter simply does not respond at all and told me to complain somewhere else. He could not help it... next Rotterdam visit will probably be a Marriott stay!
