Great Hotel, great locaton
Stayed here for 4 nights. Got an upgrade after the hotel had an issue with my reservation. Great room, much larger than expected. Comfortable bed, nice bath. Location is perfect. Short walk to the metro so getting to all of the sights is no problem. Short walk to the Trivi Fountain. Breakfast is excellent. Other reviews had complained so I was not expecting much but this was very good, nice variety of hot and cold with both a European and US vent. Customer service was excellent. Helpful staff always willing to go the extra mile.

Good location, good rooms
Another one night stopover on business. The room was a good size as was the bed. Slight touch of glitz too!

The bathroom was big, although the shower was in the bath. I would rather have no bath.

The ladies on reception were friendly and really very good!

The restaurant / bar area has some interesting frescoes (?) and it's worth having a drink at least in order to take in the room.

Beautiful stay and very helpful!
The hotel is lovely. We had a minor issue with our original room and they could not have been nicer about moving us. The rooms were comfortable, the staff friendly and the location was perfect! The breakfast was so wonderful. When I told them it was my birthday they sent up a bottle of champagne and a yummy chocolate delight. The only negatives I can say is the chair in the room...definitely form over function...the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I have ever sat on and there were NO drawers. You HAD to live out of the suitcase.

Very comfortable and nice area.
Hotel was chosen by our tour agency. We arrived site unseen from our flight, and felt right at home. Hotel is smaller, and on a busy thoroughfare so the taxi pulls right on the walkway in front. Lobby is up a few steps but has a ramp. Front desk personnel have all been very gracious and helpful throughout our visit. Our room has a queen sized bed, plenty of space, large bathroom with walk-in shower. Bed is Very comfortable. Unit is clean. Lighting is soft, so reading is doable . Only downside, and it’s minor, very minimal shelf space to put anything down beside bed or table. One luggage rack and space on drawers in closet. Inconvenient but no show stopper. Breakfast was varied choices fm the buffet, and tasty. We liked the area we were in, but knowing nothing of Rome cannot judge if it is a great location. We were happy. Overall felt very comfortable here and would come back.
Metro is easy walking distance. Taxis readily available. City busses pass by so stop must be close. Banking sites and atms all close by. Water noises fm plumbing, but not objectionable. Overall quiet in our judgement. Window opened easily and we enjoyed the cool air. Elevator is small, but there were several and we used one only.

Good location, Friendly Service
My sister booked the Grand Hotel Palace using her credit card concierge service. We were hoping for an upgrade but the room she booked was fine, if not slightly small. The big window overlooking the leafy street helped, as did the great shower room. Think marble and clean lines. Very nice.

It was my sister's first time in Rome and I told her to book a centrally located hotel so that we could walk everywhere. I love Rome and was looking forward to showing her the city. The location was perfect for the itinerary I created for us.

We had a light breakfast and excellent coffee in the hotel's wonderfully frescoed dining room. Our server saw that I was taking a picture of wall and came over to provide a bit of history on the mural. She was cheerful and knowledgable. What service! We went back every morning until we returned to London. The coffee and danish were always very good.

On our way back to the airport, we were going to call a taxi or an uber, but the hotel was able to provide a nice black sedan to take us. It wasn't much more than a taxi and much more comfortable. Great driver. Wonderful way to leave the city. Great service.

My only complaint was the air conditioner. I like a cold room when I sleep. The air condition would stop working during the night and I'd have to wake up to turn it on again. It's difficult for me to sleep in a stuffy room and unfortunately, the room was rather stuffy. This one complaint is a big one for me. It's a shame because everything else about this hotel was good, especially the friendly service. Everyone who worked at the Grand Hotel Palace was cheerful, helpful and efficient.

Location is not everything
We thought this was a nice hotel but i would not agree with the 5 star status. In touring most of Italy staying in all 5 star hotels, this one was lacking in hospitality. The room was okay,, nothing spectacular, beds were comfortable.
From daytime to nighttime crew the ambiance changed. I found the day staff in the dining room really full of themselves. They were rude and indignant every morning and i was amazed at their lack of welcoming. Every morning they would announce as they checked our room off that we did not have breakfast included. Every morning for 4 days i heard this. Since this was our 1st hotel in Italy...our introduction to the country and culture I feel the morning staff definitely failed to provide any hospitality. The evening staff in the dining room was much more relaxed, happier employees. I enjoyed the generosity of the staff almost every night.
The American embassy is across the street, really beautiful location but i will not return on my next trip to this hotel, my money will be spent where hospitality is gracious all tbe time.

Mediocre Stay
We stayed at this hotel for four nights in Rome. The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood and within reasonable walking distance to all major sites. The rooms were nice and the decor was trendy and modern. The bed was very comfortable and we liked the cleanliness of the room. However, the ac unit in our room made a terrible sound when it was on. It sounded like a shower that never ended. Because of this noise we had to turn off the ac and open the windows which let in a lot of mosquitoes. Another thing to point out is there is no USB charging in the room which I find strange for a 5 star hotel. We asked the front desk if there are other options since we didn’t have a converter and they couldn’t have cared less. The staff was not very approachable and made us feel indifferent to this hotel.

Luxury at its finest
If you want a spacious luxurious room by US standards in Europe, then this is a must. Location is a brief walk to Metro, Spagna and Villa Bourgese.

The staff treats you like you are royalty and will accommodate all needs with class. The spot allows for a quick walk to some very local places that Italians have breakfast or lunch at with a local flair

Of all of the hotels we stayed at in Italy this was by far the finest.

Brilliant hotel in a great location
We were a group of 4- 2 couples who stayed here 30th Aug-3rd Sep. First time in Rome and will not be our last! :)

This hotel is a great location-near Trevi fountain, Villa Borghese and other tourist spots like many reviews will tell you. We walked everywhere. Usually 12-15 miles a day but you could get transport to colosseum etc if you needed to.

Staff are VERY friendly and helpful-just the loveliest people with a sense of humour!

They kindly printed out our Vatican tickets which we had forgotten to do. They will keep your bags for you if you arrive early and they also kept them once we checked out as our flight was not till late afternoon. They organised a driver to take us back to the airport as well, at the same price as a taxi, and he was so nice! He pointed out so many things about Rome it was a pity we didn't have him when we arrived!

Bar staff were helpful in making an equivalent to a shandy for me (lager and lemonade), nothing was too much trouble and when eating on their cosy, semi private balcony area one night we were given a variety of complimentary nibbles too. A lovely touch and they were delicious.

Rooms were modern and well equipped, bathrooms looked great with the marble! All the toiletries were great and the bed was comfy too.
Safe is provided for your valuables and we would stick our water in the fridge for the morning as well.
No noise despite being a busy street-the windows block this out effectively.
Temperature in the room was perfect for us as well.

The only frustrating thing was no tea/coffee facilities in the room. I like a coffee when getting ready and a cup of tea before bed. We did ask and were told we could have a kettle if we wished. It seemed a bit of a hassle to go get milk, tea, etc so we didn't bother with this but the offer was kind. We did have a cappuccino one morning in the foyer but tended to just get one when walking around.

We didn't use the spa only because we had no time to do so! We didn't have breakfast either only because we are used to grabbing something small late morning when out and about.

We would use this hotel again if tea/coffee was provided but would highly recommend anyone stay here as for many this would not be an issue.

Thank you for a wonderful stay xx

Warm Welcome
A beautiful hotel inside out. I stayed in Room 504 which exceeded my expectations. Spacious with a superb wrap around terrace with lou gets, sofas and cocktail table.

The assistance I received during the booking process by Giada was welcoming and informative. She arranged my private tours and went above and beyond to ensure I was well taken care of.

The reception staff answered my calls promptly and room and maid services were top notch.

My only tiny gripe was the manner of one waiter serving the outside terrace who was very grumpy indeed shockingly so. It’s a shame to even have to mention, however maybe some training in staying calm under pressure might be helpful!

I certainly will return, and offer my kindest thanks to the superb staff during my 6 night stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I'm accustomed to online photos being a bit deceiving, but that was not the case with this hotel. Our room was immaculate, very spacious and beautifully appointed (though the chair wasn't all that comfortable - but it was cute!). The bathroom was roomy with a great walk in shower.

As an American, it's odd to go to the breakfast buffet and not serve yourself, but we appreciated that staff filled your plate (at your request) due to covid. There were plenty of options - scrambled eggs and bacon, roasted vegetables, cheeses, hams, some fruits and pastry.

We liked the location - it was an easy walk to places such as the Trevari Fountain and the Borghese Museum - and the street was quiet at night. The service in the hotel was outstanding. Although we like to try new things, it would be hard to not stay at this hotel on a return visit because it was such a nice, relaxing stay.

We had a perfect city trip as a couple and were lucky enough to have chosen the best hotel, in a beautiful, quiet location in the middle of lively Rome.
We were warmly welcomed, the service overall was very good, even the request for a kettle and coffee was promptly implemented. We loved it.
We had actually booked a deluxe room, which I had rebooked before the trip to a room with a terrace, everything worked out perfectly and we could even move into the room in the morning.
The breakfast was also very good and the service perfekt and very friendly, thank you again at this point.
We will visit Rome again and will definitely come again

Beautiful hotel with top-notch service. Spent four nights here recently and would come back in a heartbeat. Great location close to Barberini metro station, short walking distance to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Panteón.
Thank you all for your hospitality. Look forward to joining you again in Rome!

The staff is amazing. The hotel rooms are fantastic. The breakfast is also really really good; it's definitely helpful if this is your first time in Italy.
However, this hotel is pricy...You have to remember that you'll be charged the city tax when you check out and also pay for anything you drank from the mini bar from your room. If you have a lot of money, this hotel is the best, especially if it's your first time here.
Not to mention, it's a 10 minute walk from the Trevi fountain where there are a lot of restaurants.
Overall, the staff really makes this place great. Without them, it wouldn't have felt as good. They're all super nice and helpful too.

Description

Location
Our boutique hotel is an example of Belle Époque luxury on the glamorous street of Via Veneto. The hotel is a short walk to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, a journey flanked by designer boutiques, businesses and cafes. The metro stops of Barberini and Villa Borghese/Spagna bookend Via Veneto for quick jaunts to sites including the Vatican Museums and the Colosseum, as well as Termini station. All other museums and monuments are just a 15-minute walk away.

Rooms
From Superior to Signature suites, the guest rooms are very spacious. Art Deco meets preppy in a fanciful color scheme of light pinks, greens, grey and white with Twenties design inspirations. Signature Suite 109 brings on full kitsch, with black granite floors, pink boudoir, and a pink and green velvet bedroom that has a round marble tub in the corner.

Food & Drink
Whether you’re looking for the perfect place in which to spend the afternoon with a coffee or sip a cocktail before dinner, enjoy a quick lunch or formal dinner, the restaurant, bistro and bar at the Grand Hotel Palace have something for everyone. Guests can try the unique cuisine of the Cadorin Restaurant & Lounge Bar both in the dining room finely frescoed by the painter Cadorin, and on the restaurant terrace. The Bistro offers a pleasant open air experience, where guests can take in the atmosphere of Via Veneto and indulge themselves in the true Roman ‘Dolce Vita’ lifestyle.
