What a view!
Visited Prague for a 3-night stay and came here twice, once for a drink and the next day for lunch. Try and sit on the right hand side once you reach the roof as it looks over the Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock. The other side is under a glass structure so can be used in all weathers and has heaters.
Drinks were slightly pricier than other places but you're paying for the location.
If sitting right in the corner, expect constant tourists posing for photos, but everyone was friendly.
The lunch menu is quite varied, we chose the pork loin and the scallops on saffron risotto, both beautifully cooked and very tasty. Staff are busy but attentive and friendly enough. A bread basket is offered but you pay for it.
The lift up is pretty and once at the top, the first door out is sign-posted, walk up the stone steps then open that door. If you find that door closed it's not clear that you're in the right place.
Definitely a treat with beautiful food and stunning views.

AMAZING HOTEL - RUDE STAFF
This hotel is absolutely amazing. The location, the rooms, the amenities, the bar on the rooftop and the amazing bar in the cellar.
What was absolutely awful was the staff when we were having breakfast. They were rude, unresponsive and just downright horrible. It took my partner 35 minutes for a coffee and then it was cold. The orange juice ran out so I asked for more? I honestly thought I'd shot someone with the way I was looked at? These people ruined the whole experience of the hotel as the place is amazing. Just if you go please don't expect the breakfast service to be anything but a joke. The rest of the hotel is amazing and the area is 10/10.

Hotel with character
This is really a boutique hotel with many features you won't find with a modern chain hotel. The level of service was second to none from the moment we arrived in reception or through to the restaurant service or concierge. The bedrooms are very individual and well appointed. The cocktail bar in the basement 'Black Angels' is a must and the 'crew' running it are just fantastic - they're knowledge of cocktails is superb and will make great recommendations or suggestions to meet mood or taste.

Nice winter break
Just returned from our 10th visit to Prague. Decided this time to stay in the heart of it at U Prince. This was a lovely hotel. We had a mezzanine room which was beautiful. Only downside was the heat. We had the 'air con' full blast but just couldn't cool the room down. Hard to sleep even with 3 fans blasting.

Breakfast was very nice. Something for everyone. Had dinner on the roof terrace on Monday night. Lovely food. Gorgeous views. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Evening was spoiled however by people on the table behind us who were 2 mature English couples swearing and singing and generally spoiling it for others. When they left I apologised to the waiter for their loutish behaviour. Didn't want him to think us Brits all behaved like that!

Had couple of cocktails in Black Angels bar. Fab. A great experience.

Also ate at the downstairs restaurant outside on the square before leaving for the airport. Very nice again.

Hot wine is the best around. Also great hot dogs. Everything reasonably priced especially considering where it is.

Thanks U Prince.

Amazing location
We had apartment 61 which had 2 double beds, a single bed and a separate kitchen. The position was right by the clock so couldn’t have been better and we got an amazing deal being low season. The price rises significantly in the summer months and I imagine it would get a little noisy with the stag parties wandering the streets but will definitely return here in winter months. Breakfast was well varied and good quality, the restaurant and bar are both inviting although the piano playing in the basement cocktail bar was too loud to hold a conversation.

Where do I begin?
We came to Prague for my partners birthday. The hotel was stunning, full of charm and beautiful things. Our room was stunning (although too hot for us. Even with the heating turned off we had to have windows open at night and the AC on) The staff could not do enough and we even received a complimentary bottle of Prosecco. We visited the opera while we were there and again the service was first class. We requested the hotel staff to order a taxi to take us to the national theatre, and upon being escorted outside, we were surprised to find a Mercedes waiting for us, almost reminiscent of a scene from Pretty Woman.
We visited Kutna Hora by train, highly recommended btw, and the reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful, printing off time tables and explaining where to get on and off. All in all an amazing, magical time and we cannot wait to return!

Old World Charm in an Old a World Setting
U Prince Hotel Prague has everything you want in a hotel in a setting that takes you back in time. The building is a refurbished 11th century monastery set on the edge of the Old Town Square almost opposite the world famous Astronomical Clock. The rooms are spacious with king sized beds and ours looked over the square. The staff are extremely welcoming and professional. The hotel has a rooftop restaurant as well as one inside and an outside one on the square. There is also a world rated cocktail bar downstairs. Breakfast is an extensive buffet with both traditional Czech dishes and English ones, Being there for the Christmas markets meant every night was a winter wonderland with brightly lit market stalls selling crafts and delicious traditional foods. This is definitely the time to visit Prague and U Prince provides an exceptional place to stay.

Fantastic location
We stayed here for 4 days. You enter the hotel on floor -1, and reception is on floor 0. A lovely rooftop terrace on floor 4, but would suggest booking in advance. Lovely views when enjoying a drink. Also a great cocktail bar on floor -2 which is also busy and has amazing cocktails. Staff in the hotel are somber and not always welcoming. We had great views of the astronomical clock from our room and enjoyed a pleasant stay. Building has lots of character and breakfast was ok.

Brilliant!!
My girlfriend and I spent Monday through Friday staying at Hotel U Prince and both of us had an exceptional stay. Not only was the Hotel both impressive with its decor and presentation but from arrival and until check out we both felt so welcome.

Both of us chose to visit Prague for its history and architecture and U Prince compliments that experience. The room was perfect and the view as the picture shows was stunning. A few of the reviews I have read previously spoke of the rooms being out dated and needed upgrading. However, we felt the rooms, the furniture and facilities were in keeping with the theme and history of its origin which seemed more appropiate. If that's not for you i would argue you're in the wrong place and some corporate experience might be more suitable. However for us we found it to be perfect. Not only was its interior and design brilliant the location couldn't be any more central to all the sights.

Furthermore the staff were amazing, particularly an older gentleman (Milano? Forgive us if we got the name wrong) who was so attentive and welcoming and genuinely couldn't do more to assist. The receptionists and waiting staff were all so friendly too. Cannot stress how organised and efficient they were. Nothing was too much trouble.

Not only was the Hotel incredible but the on site Bar beneath also made our experience even more special. I will leave a separate review for the Black Angels Bar. Thank you so much and we look forward to returning in the future. We highly recommend it.

Cannot recommend Hotel U Prince enough! Fairy tale ambience but with all the modern conveniences. Wonderful location. Step outside and you’re in the middle of Old Town. The staff is warm and welcoming and ready to assist with anything you need. Martina in Reception took us under her wing with recommendations and even COVID testing scheduling. When we needed help with charging cable, Edward in Reception hunted through his box of cords to find some hat would work. The breakfast was ample and the setting was comfortable and friendly. The Black Angels bar staff was eager to serve just the right cocktail according to our tastes. The Teresa rooftop restaurant was lovely with delicious food and stunning views. All in all, a great stay in a very unique hotel.

I tried the famous goulash ans it was delicious! Even if the restaurant was full, the stuff was so kind and always checking up if everything was okay amd I noticed it wasn't only with me so for that, congrats!!
It was a blonde tattoo guy who took care of me most of the time (don't know his name) but his colleagues helped him as well.
I totally recommend this place, especially the goulash so 10+ from me for everything!

Hotel u Prince.

Extremely well located (perhaps the best location of any hotel I have been to in all the cities I have visited in the world) but for lovers, honeymooners, bachelor / bachelorette trip, those desiring a erotic flair to travel. Ambiance is very medieval male consistent with Prague in general, but with an almost kitschy vibe to it (even the breakfast follows a traditional British fry up). The room ceilings are a unique experience. With one of Prague's coolest bars in the basement and best rooftop restaurants/bars on the top, it is unique. The food quality/price ratio is perhaps not the best in Prague. But what can one expect with so much else going for it? But not for those looking for a nice quiet, family oriented place. Thinking wild and unique would be more like it.

The heaters are fabulous here to keep you toasty while you enjoy their great choice of menu & drinks. The cocktails looked gorgeous, our wine was the best we'd had all weekend, the food great & service was good. Yes, it's a little pricier because of where it is but absolutely worth it.

They serve us ..we got luck cause we had a great view, ask for two cocktails...bit when we were going to pay..the man in charge came to us...said that the price was 526 CK and without hesitation he left..... assuming that we weren't aware that he was charging 15 % more that was our real bill....it was so dirty and unethical...on his behalf we tried to said to the reception and the lady there was so in her world that didn't got the problems.. unrealistic!!!! Not going to come back.

Nice Workers and Receptionist, but the original apartment I was meant to be staying was a 5 minute journey from the hotel and when we got there it was awful, run down and seemed like we were sent to a hostel. I asked the Receptionist to upgrade and we did... Number 51 (the top room below the Teresa u prince). Lovely view, lovely room just abit noisy on the Thursday and Friday.
